I think I'll make a custom header to route exhaust port 1 into 2, and 3 into 4. Tx2k here I come.

If you gained torque by downsizing your exhaust it is most likely due to tuning issues or the larger exhaust was designed with flaws in it like too many bends or improperly mated flanges that caused turbulence. Here is a tuned 2.25 vs a tuned 3" exhaust on the same motor (H22A): Bold line is 3" 2.5 vs 3" on a turbocharged miata at 11 psi: red is 3" Last edited by sw20kosh; 07-09-2014 at 02:55 AM. |

I hear and see what you are saying and im not talking about downsizing if you read my post ud see that i have stock exhaust and im gonna do 2.5 inch i wont even say anymore n just wait to see results like i said when i had my turbo tc and went to 3" from 2.5 i saw, power gains but a slight tq dip yes 2 completly diff cars for sure n there was def no tunning issues as i had put down 391whp stock motor on E85 in that car and i highly doubt ptunings 3" exhaust has any design flaws for that car niether did my 3"custom with vibrant 3" throuh n through which yielded more power than the ptuning set up And to respond to the guy who asked about my dyno sheet dorry i dont have any lrint outs cuz im not a dyno wueen who worries about having the biggest **** on this forum cuz i put up a dyno sheet with numbers no i could care less if someone make more power so i dont even ask for a print out not needed car runs great n is faster than alot of ppl soo thats all that matters there will always be someone faster i build y car for me and who ever limes it cool and whoever doesnt cool as well i will be on at the end of this month n i will post results and if ppl beliebe me fine if they dont fine i know what it is and local guys can atest to that so PLP |

Where did everyone pull the water lines from? The instructions didn't quite cover that section.

That is because most of the FA20Club turbo kit owners did not opt for a water cooled turbo. There are posts discussing this in the Full Blown owners thread, but I grabed the water from the hose barb on the water jacket that goes over the top of the motor near the throttle body and the back of the engine on the driver side. This method eliminates the throttle body cooling.
