No, not because it's TRD, it's because idiots will pay that price. Just get a piece of tape and write TRD on it and wrap it around your OEM filter.

Ask them for a dyno graph. I'm sure it's at least +10 hp/tq and removes the torque dip.

The TRD filter is $20.00 and shipping from Japan is $30.00.

Have you noticed the price of jet fuel is skyrocketing again.

They saw you coming! LoL

Glad the majority of people here can see past the TRD hype and won't be wasting their money.

Cut open the TRD I guarantee there is cardboard where aluminium should be. Honda guys love cutting apart oil filters to prove one is better than another. Lets see someone on here do the same!

TRD OIL FILTER TECHNOLOGY

TRD oil filters use a 100% synthetic fiber filtration medium to provide the highest possible dirt removal efficiency with the lowest possible flow restriction. The construction of the outer steel container offers a burst strength exceeding six times the operating pressure and ten times the fatigue strength of standard filters. The internal backing plate is polished to remove manufacturing burrs and improve flow.
When it comes to oil filters, all you need to know is that TRD oil filters are designed to hold 45-percent more dirt than the leading national brand. And while the service life of TRD oil filters is the same as original equipment filters,"

No joke on the Honda guy thing... I'm from Honda-world and they seriously get uptight about car parts. It can be pretty hard to handle.

And so does the new NAPA filter for about $12 + change......(synthetic filter media)

If you want to spend $50 for an oil filter, I've got some $118 floor mats you might be interested in.
