Nice meeting everyone there. The new and the old. When I was coming into the pier, I was thinking this place is fishy. Roads has potholes spray painted walls and emptiness all around. I saw Jerry's firestorm FRS up ahead. Turned into a parking lot and I thought we were early for a moment until Jerry spotted the other cars. OOooooh. Nice park tons of poo over the grass so watch your step! Evil geese that hiss at you and flap it's wings looking to fight you. Awesome view of San Francisco city.

Great day for a BBQ and it was fun! Thanks everyone who came out. Even the latecomers ahaha.

Thanks again to @dun3 and his gf (Ellie?) for setting this up, and doing all the cooking.

Here are some photos I took, just to give you a sneak peek.
More coverage to come on 86DRIVE.

Good meeting everyone, I thought the venue and bbq worked out great.

oh and a funny little story (or two) after I left the park... took the wrong exit ramp and ended up taking the bay bridge unintentionally instead of going to berkeley. well being the kind of guy who makes lemonade out of lemons I paid the bridge toll and got off at Treasure Island and stopped for a few photos before I went back to east bay.

if you guys have never been by there it's a great spot for photos and just admiring the city view. We should do a meet/photo shoot out there sometime too (if everyone can swing the bridge toll haha).

then I went to the Berkeley Toyota service & parts dept and got some VIP parking right up front at their entrance. (Sorry no pics). The toyota service guys swarmed over my car haha and asked all kinds of questions and wanted to sit in my car despite there being two FR-S on the lot (one silver, one black) already. Anyways it was fun talking to those guys and then I went into parts and got my super expensive hard-to-find caliper pin. at least they were nice and gracious as they bent me over and reamed me at the cashier lol.

Thanks @PMok for help pushing the meet/bbq/potluck (lot's of food, awesome), and to everyone else for coming through. I got a little burned but it was fun and was great meeting everyone. @86_ZN6 I think this spot is a pretty good spot for a formal meet. Just have to let the park services know and see what fee's it might entail. Thanks again everyone.

We were at a smaller bbq pit, there is a much larger section for groups and parties.

@86_ZN6 there's a couple sections to the parking lot, this would be a bit of a walk to from the lot for sure (basically the end of the sidewalk there). I think if it was a formal meet, they might let us park where @PMok got those great shot's of the cars with the view, but not sure. We'd have to ask.

Yeah one downside of this location is, the picnic areas are generally far from the lot. About 50yds away. But at least where we were, we could still see our cars. And that area had a larger grill, but another group came before us and took it. Would be sweet if we could park our cars along that side pier area with the view behind it. But more likely I could see them only letting us set up tents/vendor booths along there.

Sucks I didn't make it out, had a last minute assignment from the wife. Location definately has potential to be a venue for the next big meet!
