2019 Toyota GT86 TRD SE muffler/catback

Anybody tried to purchase just the catback from the the new TRD SE? It is my understanding the the muffler/catback is different (sounded different to me), but my amateur attempt at searching part numbers only found the identical part number to the standard 86.

I've heard the "aftermarket" TRD version is pretty loud. https://www.trdusa.com/parts-detail....categories=all
I'm assuming the new TRD SE's muffler is actually a different meffler and not the same muffler with different tips, but I have no way to confirm this.

I'm looking for something nicer sounding, but just barely louder than stock, but with better quality than the Q300. I really liked the sound of the TRD, but didn't hear it under full load.

I'm concerned that with the JDL UEL header, it'll be too loud. But it is a possibility under consideration.

The fujitsubo catback might give the tone you're looking for. They make the o.e. STI muffler in Japan.

And are you referring specifically to the Authorize R or S?

Thanks!

CSG Touring86 catback quite literally checks a lot of boxes in terms of near non-existent drone and sub-90dB sound limits, while cleaning up sound drastically for catted and catless cars.

So I spoke to my local dealership today. I was told that you cannot order is the TRD SE's muffler without a VIN# and they want to verify that you are the owner of said vehicle. The rationale they provided was they want to keep the "exclusivity" of the SE.

I was referring to the STI muffler for the BRZ. But the Authorize R is great from what I've heard.

I was not aware of any STi exhaust. Is that from the JDM STi? Even the tS has the "regular" exhaust, right?

The STi is axleback exhaust for BRZ.

Fujitsubo is catback. Kind of a big difference.
