I would suggest Project Import for shops in the OC and further. These guys are great, very knowledgeable when it comes to 86. They do extensive builds. Was there the other day and they were putting together a custom HKS R core intercooler for a Jackson Racing SC kit and are building a car with Crawford short block, Borg Warner turbo, E85 setup, looks yummy.

Thumbs up Need rec's to fix the baby

FT86 Family , my beautiful car was rear ended the other day and I am in need of a good shop to replace the rear bumper, plastic bumper, the trunk, and the aftermarket installed spoiler.
I am in Los Angeles and willing to go to anywhere in the valley area, glendale, burbank, culver city, la canada flintridge, etc.

Your experience with any shops recommended would be really appreciated.

Go to Grove body shop in garden grove. It's a large auto repair shop run by a father and son. They have done excellent work and have repaired accidents on 4 of my cars and also worked with me to use aftermarket parts I wanted instead of OEM. You can use any auto repair place you want and your insurance can't intimidate you to use theirs.

If they get any flack from the insurance company, they tell you and you call the insurance agent and regulate that crap. If you are dealing with the other driver's insurance, you just tell their insurance company, "that's fine, don't pay to fix that, I'll just sue your client in small claims court for whatever you don't pay".

Does anyone know of any good mechanics around The Valley that does good work with Subarus? I've seen a lot of stuff posted down south but nothing up north. Just looking to get an oil change and tire rotation mostly, but may want someone to look at a possible oil leak. Any recommendations?

Garage
Hey I've been living in Nor Cal the entire time I've own my FRS. Now I will be moving to SoCal, Orange County.

The apartment complex I'm moving to is strict about not allowing work on cars. Up here in NorCal I'm lucky enough to live near my parents so I use their driveway for my vehicle maintenance.

My question is if anyone has advice about how and where I can perform maintenance like oil changes, tire rotation, and other basic stuff myself. I know I probably could just do it in parking lot but that is far from ideal. Also not asking about local shops yet, I only bring it in if the work is outside my skill comfort zone.

Any advice or info is appreciated.

Go to www.urdreamgarage.com I go there to use their lift and tools for all my installs and maintenance. They also have a guy there who can help you out when you need a little more elbow grease or experience.

I realized that now after moving this garage is an hour and a half away. Im in Mission Viejo. If this is the only decent option I may do the drive but If anyone knows somewhere closer to the Lake Forest area I would be super grateful.
