That adds alot more complexity and requires ties to the ECU. Partial throttle is harder to tune as well.

If you wanted partial throttle the motor controller would require alot of additional programming.

This is meant to be a plug and play system with easy installation that gives you a healthy boost when you need it.

Because it is not intended to compete with full time FI systems.
It works sort of like a NOS kit. The difference being that with NOS you arm the system, stomp on the gas, then hit the button when you want it to kick in. With this system you arm it and when you mat the gas pedal it kicks in automatically. One less step involved and you don't need to refill it.
It also costs less than half of the cheapest full time FI system, assuming it doesn't need a special tune.

As far as actuation, this would work the same as a "NOS" kit (NOS is actually a brand name).

It would probably be advisable to have a tune for this if it's producing more than 10hp.

I forgot that. I should be saying "nitrous", shouldn't I. I thought all nitrous kits were activated by pressing a button of some kind, with a throttle position switch in there as an interface to prevent it from firing at less than full throttle.
Part throttle nitrous activation is very bad, if I recall, unless you enjoy seeing parts of your motor that belong inside the block on the outside.

99% of the time, there is a main "arm" switch, then a throttle switch, and sometimes even an RPM window switch. For all intents and purposes, same activation as this electric turbo kit.

Usually the nitrous buttons are for movies and video games.

I want to know how much weight is being added between the two batteries and the unit itself. Also, I'm interested in where the batteries are being installed.
