That story made my day.....

Capt Spaulding that story took me there. I really thank you for that. I could really imagine you at that age being there and felt like I was living it too. It's things like that in life that just make me proud to be involved in car mania. It must of been so cool to hang out in that shop. I did the same in shops and garages at that age on up to 18 years old and then moved away from the city to the Jersey Shore. AJ Foyt, my God that is something people like me dreamed of. All I had was Raceway Park in Englishtown to meet the best Drag Racers. Thanks again for putting this old man on a natural high. Great writing.

RE: Buick - A 65 Riviera or a 70 GSX 455 maybe but not a dolled up 1980's wannabe. C'mon kidz... I would even go for that new drop top prototype they've been showing at this years car shows.

I see more older men and women driving these than younger people in my area. Not a dino yet but feel pretty old.

Guess I was wrong eh?

Any other seasoned drivers out there? If so, are you a lifetime sports-car driver or late life indulgence? I am firmly in the first group having owned only one car with more than two seats. (I don't count the space behind me as "seats" in the FRS.)
Seasoned driver here. 58yrs young and about an hour away from London on the shores of Lake Huron.
Got my FR-S late Feb of `13 at Toyotatown.
Had a few sporty cars in the past, `72 6cyl Capri, `78 Scirocco, `82+`84 VW GTI`s.
Then a break in the action until I treated myself to the FR-S for my retirement. A couple of mods so far, but I`m drooling over edelbrocks sc for the twins. If I pull the trigger one day I`ll see if a couple of the old farts from London will come over to help install.

Old guys rule!

You're not in the club until you've had your first prostate exam and/or colonoscopy.
