2014 Toyota Tundra

Toyota to Livestream Panel Discussion Following World Debut of 2014 Tundra Pickup at 2013 Chicago Auto Show

Quote:
Toyota will stage the world debut of the redesigned 2014 Tundra full-size pickup truck at a press conference at the 2013 Chicago Auto Show. The press conference will take place Thursday, Feb. 7, at 9:00 a.m. (CST) in the Grand Ballroom at McCormick Place.

As part of the world debut of the 2014 Tundra, Toyota will conduct a panel discussion following the press conference from 11:00 to 11:30 a.m. (CST) with Toyota Division Group Vice President and General Manager Bill Fay, Tundra Chief Engineer Mike Sweers, and Calty Research and Design President Kevin Hunter. The panel discussion will be moderated by Mark Williams, editor of pickuptrucks.com. Both the Tundra press conference and panel discussion will be broadcast live via Livestream and can be viewed at: http://new.livestream.com/toyota.

Toyota will also conduct a “Tundra Block Party” at the 2013 Chicago Auto Show’s Social Media Day on Friday, Feb. 8 between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. (CST) at the Toyota exhibit space. All credentialed bloggers are invited.

2014 Toyota Tundra Spied

Quote:
With interest and activity in the full-size truck segment at a fever pitch right now, the 2014 Toyota Tundra is preparing its official debut at the Chicago auto show – and we’ve got early spy shots of a prototype. Toyota wants to show the world that it’s still a contender in the full-size truck segment, and in Chicago on February 7, we’ll see what’s hiding underneath the camouflage on this 2014 Toyota Tundra mule.

Nice.. Hope they do something with the side.. I love the front of it, next to the Titan I think it's a great front end on a truck.. But I hated the side of it.. Especially a long bed 4 door

Update!

Teaser of the New 2014 Toyota Tundra Truck or Something Else?

Quote:
Earlier today, the Japanese company itself dropped a teaser image showing the name of the truck sculpted on the body paneling.

Looks similar to the current generation with the shape of the headlights and that hood scoop.

I like it from the video. I've never ever had a reason to get a Tundra but I do like them. I'd like to see some opinions from previous Tundra owners.

I own a 2007 Tundra. The angular panels on the new one looks more like one of those big Ford special edition trucks. Still has the Tundra feel, mostly. Not sure what I think of the space between the gauges for the LCD display.

Yet another too-big, too-high, too-heavy big dumb truck.
Why in the fook reasonable size and ride height trucks are somehow not acceptable today is beyond me...

The best all-around truck has got to be the Tundra TRD Rock Warrior. I'm excited to see the new features Toyota brings to their 2014 trucks in order to compete with the 2014 F-150's and Silverados.

Oh, and Toyota needs to make a diesel Tundra!

@ZDan I'm with ya. Some folks need big trucks, like @b.e says, but most of the time people just assume bigger = better and that's not always the case. For example: check out this reasonably-sized badassery:

Oh, and Toyota needs to make a diesel Tundra!

Toyota doesn't have a uber powerful Diesel engine that would fit the role, at least not in N/A.
Iknow they have a 4.5L or something V8 Diesel that's somewhat newish and used in the Land Cruiser and 4runner variants overseas but its a weakling compared to the available Diesels from the US Big 3.
