I've been getting 2-3 mpg more after lowering my car on RCE Yellow springs. Highest achieved thus far is 35.6 mpg. My daily commute is 45 miles one way with posted speed limits of 35-70 mph.

Amazing mpg. IF you drive easy haha. My dash says 26 mpg after 12k but I have been a little heavy on the gas because its too much fun. When I drive regular I get 25-30mpg city approx an around 35-45mpg highway easily. I find under 30 mph to be the real gas killer imo but I'm sure it's all how you drive/shift
*o yea btw my commute to work is 15-20 min city stop n go Last edited by Steve201brz; 07-10-2013 at 09:03 PM. Reason: Clearification |

FWIW it's not limited to this car. There are four other cars in our household (2012s and 2013s), and all of them have inconsistent, optimistic MPG displays. The best I've ever seen were on Blazer/Jimmy/S10 in the mid-late '90s. Those weren't accurate, but they were consistent...and pessimistic. They always indicated 1 MPG worse than you were getting. Some cars - GM trucks are still like this - not only show MPG, but also fuel used. And the amount you can get in the tank is never the same as the DIC says you used. |

Mine is always reading 1-1.5mpg high. I do about 60/40, city and backroads/hwy. My last 3 fill ups have been 28.2, 28.2 and 26.2(end of break in period on that tank) on 93 octane. Mine is a manual.

I get around 28 to 30 in the summer and 24 to 26 in the winter. Though I remember going to Wicked Big Meet and my mpg was 32 for the gas tank.

See my signature. I never used ethanol gas, 91 only. And we have some pretty cold days which sucks the MPG like crazy.

90% of the driving I do is city street driving(heart of downtown Chicago). 90% of the time I am driving the car like I stole it.
Just crossed 2225 miles yesterday. 2013 BRZ limited. |

I average between 26 an 27 MPG in my typical driving which is probably 75% highway and 25% city. On the best occasions I've hit 37 MPG all highway for over 200 miles.

I am assuming everyone is running the 0w20 synthetic?
Oil grade can affect MPGs a few percent in some engines...not sure if the boxer is that susceptible or not. |

I feel you. Chicago can be crazy on the highway. But I've been driving carefully now, went from 25.8 to 27.6.

I do about 50/50 highway and city. Only addon was a nameless cat back, and I noticed a 1-2 MPG bump. I'm sure I could get a consistent 30+ if I was a little nicer, but there's no fun in that
