Cool, thanks! Although the last time I drove it I had the dash illum set at the min level. Need to make sure, and try the hidden menu item.

The 2017 HU is the same as the 14, correct?

It's the same in Canada. I think the US received a newer/different HU.

Cruise Control maxes at 91....

Allegedly. I wouldn't know because this exceeds the speed limit and would be unsafe.

...
...

However, the flow of traffic may or not be 95-100 in the left lane of some areas and cruise control would be nice at these speeds... for the people who would go this speed. Not me.

The switchgear for the cruise control is a piece of shit.

Not intuitive AND does not always set when I push down lever to set.

Worst thing on the entire car, far as I'm concerned.

Switches for cruise should have been put on the steering wheel as in my 2005 Mustang. Very intuitive, that car's controls.

And I don't need or want any other stuff on my steering wheel other than a horn button.

And as stated by OP, maybe, just maybe I'd like to set the cruise for 95 or 100...what were they thinking ?????

Hello Toyota (Mr. Toyoda), this car IS capable of speeds way over 100 mph...I can prove it !

Well, the operation instructions are right there on the stalk. What's that, 30 seconds of learning?

I totally disagree! I love that little stalk. Push button to turn on. Push down to slow down and up to speed up. How more intuitive than that? I do not like the buttons on the wheel since you need to use two different hands for different functions and they are hardly ever in a position where you can just give them a flick. I don't even need to move my hand to use the stalk just stick a finger out and there it is. That Mustang one you have to reach halfway into the steering wheel. Never once in the thousands of times I have pushed it did it fail to set.
If you are driving over 100 you are breaking the law everywhere and should be paying very close attention and not on cruise anyway.

Makes no sense to me, having to push down (towards the floor) to SET.

And it's true, often I must push down twice to get the pos to set.

Also, I often mistake the wiper control for the cruise, or vice versa...Not at all happy when that happens.

Yes I could help design a better car.

I also love the cruise control on this car and use it quite a bit once I get on I-65. 85 mph almost all the way to Louisville...

I love that the indicator is orange when it is on, and green when it is set.

That's because it's a tiny car. Where else would you put them?
