I’ve accepted that I’m gonna be too poor to buy this for many years. I love the design of the convertible though, it really seems like a Miata on steroids.

It’s subjective; it doesn’t matter, but the Corvette would not be in my top-ten list or even my top-twenty list for ‘best looking car of the last decade’.

The C8.R is the race spec version of the LT6. Production version is supposed to make 650 hp ballpark, but the race spec has air inlet restrictions, which drops the hp output. When I left GM a year ago, the LT6 still had severe oil starvation beyond 7500 rpm - one of the many critical issues it had (has?). There were all these spun journals and broken con rods & pistons sitting on the tables in engine teardown room.

A novice could look up the ten or so minimal algorithms needed to solve a Rubix Cube and be proficient within a half hour of solving a Rubix Cube in under ten minutes. It isn't hard.

Perhaps. They definitely will be derived from the production motor. 5.5L NA flat crank V8 is what's rumored to be in the race car, I can see a similar motor making it's way into the Z06 with ease. Especially if this document is to be believed. https://www.midenginecorvetteforum.c...s-leak-lt6-lt7 We'll know more this weekend at Petite Le mans. |

But it's SOMETHING. Currently, on this continent, it seems a wounded amoeba could receive a driver's licence.

I want a C8 but I'd have to agree with Irace86.2.0. The BRZ/86 don't make my list either of top 10-20 beauties.
There are a lot of cool looking cars I don't consider 'beautiful'. Unfortunately, all the top 10-20 cars on my list are exotics/classics or unrealistic for me to ever own (for example, the Ferrari 365 GTS/4 Daytona Spyder is one on my list). If I had to change the criteria to 'top 10 most desirable/beautiful cars that I can afford', the C8 would be at the top of my list in the under $80k price range. I don't love that rear end, but I'd tolerate it as part of the package. A 'beautiful car'? Not really, in my eyes. But definitely a bad-ass car that I'd love to own.
