More likely it's for the hi-beams.

Isn't the top left "row" above the auto lights, high beams?

My guess is the auto function, then the daytime running lights (LEDs), then just the normal headlamps turned on. You probably push the stalk forward to activate the hi-beams, hence the arrow by the symbol. I could be wrong though.

Ah yes I see now; your probably right. Auto then DTRL then manual headlamps.
Other side is just fogs off/on.

Wow. Not many cars that I've had, had a black headliner. I like it!

To be honest though, I don't think many people had crawled through the car before I got to it. When I arrived at the dealer, it still had all of its packaging material - white vinyl covering the hood/roof/trunk, plastic seat covers, etc. The odometer did say that it had 138 miles on it though. Everything else looked pretty good, but I didn't check for things like panel gaps in the exterior.
Yeah I was looking through your gallery and noticed the door handle. Hope that's just a preproduction issue.

But I'm glad to hear that everything else seems alright. Thank you for the pictures

Thanks, good to hear. Also, never noticed this before, but it looks like reverse will engage the same way as the WRXs (Lift the ring to engage).

I'm pretty sure the LED "rings" will be the daytime running lights. The functions from bottom to top I'm pretty sure are: off, auto headlights, parking lights, then regular headlights. That's what the setup is on my legacy (minus the auto part). My question still remains, where are the controls for the LED bar above the foglights?

there aren't any controls for them. Nor are there any for the surrounds in the headlight cluster. Just like an Audi, they are on whenever the car is on.

Thanks Grimlock for the insight and the photos!

Has anyone pointed out that the BRZ has a headlight leveling dial between the trunk release and the interior illumination dial? Also, 0W-20 oil recommended, that sort of thin oil is quickly becoming de facto.

Yeah, I was scratching my head about that as well, definitely a bit out of the ordinary, anybody know why they would go with this oil?

wow...a DGM already in circulation for showing at dealers here in the U.S.!! I wonder what model/color the BRZ will be we're going to see this Sat in Hermosa will be?? as much as I like WRB I'm hoping it will be a color we haven't seen nearly as much of.

as far as the interior trim quality: remember this is a preproduction prototype. more than likely this was part of the first batch of cars made before the official start of production. i've sat in a few prepo cars and there are always a lot of really odd things to behold: huge panel gaps, seat doesn't go as far back as it should, stuff missing, etc.
