Crazy question - will the FR-S/GT86 take a Lexus badge?

My thought - throughout the world, Toyota indiscriminately badges cars the way it sees fit for the local market. In my old Lexus SC300, all the parts under the hood were labeled "Toyota" and not Lexus, and of course, in much of Europe, Scion and Lexus automobiles are badged Toyota.

Any input? If we think "yes," which Lexus has the proper sized badge?

Or tell me I'm just nuts...

Fact, I would do this. I would CERTAINLY do this on a white GT86. I would remove the GT86 badging on the exterior, put on the BRZ side fendor vents and actually put the FR-S lettering on the trunk (or no lettering at all)

Why the FRS? because it is the closet to Lexus' naming system. why the GT86? Because it has the nicer headlights, along with the fog lights and bigger exhaust tips.

Why white? Because that colour makes it look like a baby LFA

Great idea if I could have a redo - but I've the ultramarine, and there's no matching Suburu color.

Anyone have any idea what size would work? Here's a pic that someone posted suggesting that it's been done:

This is no longer true. For the last 6 or so years, Lexus has been a global brand with a distinct product line. There is no longer a Toyota badged version of the Lexus for the Japanese market, like the LS/Celsior, the SC/Soarer, or the GS/Aristo. The platform sharing vehicles are the RX350/Highlander, ES350/Camry, the LX570/Land Cruiser, and the GS460/4Runner. However, saying that those vehicles are "the same" is like saying a Golf R is the same thing as a TT-RS.

I'd think the GT86 was closer to Lexus' naming system. Lexus, up until the IS-F (IS line, F performance model) and LFA (no naming convention used at all) has used a 2 letter model designator and a three letter engine displacement figure. If anything, this would be a GT200.

You heard wrong. The gearbox uses a tune developed by Lexus for their 8-spd automatic first for the IS-F, then trickling down to the LS460 F-Sport and RX350 F-Sport.

Exactly! Like the VW guys running Bentley wheels. Just don't. It's a Toyota/Subaru/Scion, be proud of it!

You can check out the LFA body kit somewhere on this forum, the front looks good and the rear is ok IMO. That will make your car really LFA younger bro.
