So basically, my question is does the Tomei UEL header make the Evo 3 much louder than with stock headers? Because it's perfect with stock headers IMO.
Which catted headers? KLS/Ultrex?

Looks like I'll get the Nameless super long tube headers or JDL headers instead
Well actually my leak wasn't at that point but rather just they couldn't get their welder all the way around.

If you have a leak at the sliding joint you should be able to adjust the joints before install..

Do contact them they're AMAZING with issues, I had a new header at my place in 3 days

EDIT: @Truerace

Also contact the vendor you got it from my vendor @ShowstoppersUSA was amazing in responding and following up with the issue. It'll help in the deciphering of the japanese accent haha!

If it's any use, I will do a recording of the exhaust set up and put it up here.

If it isn't too much fuss, that'd be great! Do you find it too loud on cold starts by any chance? That my issue with my set up at the moment.

Yeah, KLS. Not a bad header for the price, but I'd rather UEL for the low end, boxer rumble and because brand whore

Yeah I've got the Ultrex/KLS header back system now and was going to go with their catted EL headers but I've always wanted UEL and not sure if the catted el will even make my car much louder which is what I want.
I want the Tomei UEL too but don't want a cel ahah

Yes it is kinda loud on start up.

Off topic, does anyone know would you go about getting getting rid or lowering the high idle at start up?

Yeah mines the same at the moment. Hopefully the uncatted UEL + stock front pipe won't be louder than the catted EL + uncatted front pipe I have at the moment.

The cold start idle is something you change in the tune, and is designed for warming up the catalytic converter. There was a post about doing it with the OFT somewhere in these forums, but your tuner should know what to do.

Awesome. Am waiting to get my air intake before getting a complete tune. I hope so too, but I would reckon it would be louder though, do correct me if i'm wrong
