Part Number 33503A was replaced. Was really cheap and quite easy to replace.

Reminds me of back-in-the-day, when I was a child, my father would sometimes say something that I didn't feel was correct. So, I would "look it up" in the set of encyclopedias that my uncle had left at our house.

Did you adjust the top plate when reassembling? Some overlook that critical step.

No i did not adjust the top plate. I didn't know that this had any adjustments

That top plate is what centers the gearshift in the first and second gear gates.
