I see that other cameras are being discussed in this thread. If someone is considering other cameras, as you say, they should find out the voltage requirements of the camera and then they can decide on how they want to wire it.

It's all good--we're all trying to help.

I ordered a harness from SVXdc and he recommended simply using the 6v lead for the Rydeen Duo. As a result, that's what I plan to do. He's a great guy to deal with.

B-R-Z. From your pics the distortion/curved-effect on the screen is much lower than I get, which is a GOOD THING. The view u r getting is plenty wide enough. If my camera croaks I will replace with a narrower view type.

I too like and rely on the grid lines but having ones from the cam as well as from the h/u ... nup. Our h/u in Australia do not show those introduced by the h/u and it is a mystery why the US is different. I use my lines to accurately line up next-doors' cat.

As for side cams I was thinking for looking forward.

Where are you guys ordering your Rydeen Duo's from? I've come across Al & Ed's @ $130 and Newegg (but shipped by a 3rd party) for $100.

Ordered on Amazon from Adventurer's Bag. I think it was for the same current price ($80+10 shipping). Came quickly and worked out of the box.

I bought mine off of eBay for $74 shipped brand new, just do a search for "Rydeen Duo."

Has anyone ordered the 16-pin harness from SVXdc lately? I sent him an order almost 2 weeks ago and haven't heard back from him yet. Does anyone know if he is still making them?

From my past experience, it takes a little while to get the harness from him. I think it took me about 2 weeks as well before I got mine. I'd just keep trying to get a hold of him, although I wouldn't start worrying until after about 3 weeks.

Yeah I had to wait a long time for both orders I've placed with him. Once I was able to get a hold of him, he was pretty responsive.

LOL. I'll tell you, I am local to him in Atlanta, and I still got impatient after about 3 weeks of not hearing from him. I ended up wiring it up without the harness, jamming the wires in like @michaelahess did here:

http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showp...&postcount=157

You can do this without cutting any of the OEM or Rydeen Duo wiring, but you do need female RCA plug with a few inches of lead wire. I had an RCA splitter (one male to two female) lying around that I cut up, but you can look for a cheap one like this at Radio Shack or Fry's or online:

http://www.primuscable.com/store/p/5...FShp7AodYBIAGQ

And it worked fine, but I replaced it with the harness from svxDC once I got it (after another 3 or 4 weeks).

I too went ahead myself without a harness. He has not responded after repeats of emails/orders going back at least 4 months so I ended up cancelling.
I hope he is OK as he has made many helpful posts (including one specifically to me) and to many forums. In the process I fear he may have created a monster which can happen when you try to keep too many people happy. Everyone loves him.

finally got around to installing my Rydeen Duo and SVXdc harness. Aside from routing the wires which was a pain in the butt, the install wasn't bad. here's a pic from testing it out. I will use it tomorrow and see if it needs calibration. The car should have come like this from the factory, at least for the limited.

I'm surprised that he doesn't respond any faster than this. I would get tired of waiting too. When I ordered my harness from autoharnesshouse.com, it literally arrived in like 3 days.

Hey everyone. I'm a complete noob to car wiring and purchased a Rydeen Duo for my 2015 FRS.

What else do I need to wire this thing up properly? Will this suffice? http://autoharnesshouse.com/19867.html
