Ditch your family and you can by an 86. These "hot hatches" make it look like a bargain

Well, the two dealerships I know won't mark it up don't do deposits, so I'm out of luck. I'm not paying over sticker for it. So I'm not even going to bother contacting any other dealerships.

Dealership I have my deposit with thinks it'll start at $32,000. Which would shock the hell out of me. I'm hoping that the Circuit is right at $40k, no more. If its closer to $45k I might have to back out (because I'm not selling the GTI AND the AMG to get this, lol).

Someone should start a business where you can use other vehicles, at a daily rate, when you need more space. Sounds like a good business venture.

The 32K is not too far fetched to be honest. To put in perspective, the Mazda 3 (Hatchback), AWD, Turbo 2.5, starts at 32K. Which in comparison to a Toyota, has a much, much nicer interior with the same driver aids.

The Toyota has a smaller engine, powerful, but smaller, there's only one option as far as transmission goes, and you have to pay for the extra LSD or extra goodies. So I can see the Core edition floating somewhere around the $33-34k.

Im with you on the 40K, mostly because the hype is real, and Toyota making it a limited run, will boost the sales. I don't know how long Toyota plans on making the GR Corolla, or if other versions of the Circuit will be released, compared with getting a WRX vs STi.

If I'm being optimistic, the Circuit will cost around $33K and the Circuit $38-40K. But that is me being very, VERY, optimistic.

Actually, I just saw this C&D article, they also think the Core will roam around $32K. Lets say the Performance Package is an extra $3-5K, that would still be a better deal than getting a less available, Circuit Edition.

I’d be happy starting at $32k. I would jump on it for sure next year.

I want the JBL system. So I'd have to get the tech package as well. That's one of the reasons why I want the Circuit since I'm sure the 2 packages will bring the price very close to it. I don't care about the cold weather package tho, so hopefully that isn't forced with one of the other packages.

I think the weather package is optional, as with all the other ones. A quick trip to Costco or your local Autoparts zone and BAM!, all weather mats. Im sure Husky will start making custom fit all weather mats which is cheaper than getting WeatherTech.

I'm already used to the shitty sound system in the BRZ, and I'll probably get a louder exhaust to hear that little engine even more, so a technology package would be a waste for me lol.

I actually want that heated steering wheel! I have bad circulation in my hands so they get cold easily, even with driving gloves on. And, as you fellas may know, you have to keep the windows down while lapping on race tracks. It's nice to leave the HVAC shut off while doing hot laps, but oh how do I enjoy my heated seats in those situations...and would the wheel, hah.
