Straight up abuse. Flat-footed 1-2 shift in the middle of a burnout. Actually, it went from being completely silent to whining a teeny bit and I didn't want to drive it any more until after I repaired it.

So I get a replacement out of a wrecked one. It whines like a little bitch.

I still say that it doesn't whine all that much.

You would laugh if you heard my original. No one else but I could hear the difference.

Omg, torque request.

Aww, keep going. I need to find out why the torque dip is there! You don't just stop in the middle of a bedtime story!

Well, I was just trying to support my reasoning for not being worried about lugging the engine. Do you want to get into why I disagree with trying to eliminate the torque dip?

Well now, that brings to mind a story about "backing up" from my teenager truck driving days. You see, I've always had this problem .....

It was a cold, dark, rainy night when me and my buddy pulled into this milk distribution center in Paris, Kentucky. I pulled the rig around back to unload it. The problem was I had to back it into a rather narrow loading dock. My buddy who was only 16, but a far better driver than I was at 17, let me make a stab at it.

After a couple of attempts, he said that he had better back it in. By this time a couple other semis had stacked up behind us. After he tried several times without success, this ol boy from one of the waiting trucks, came up and sarcastically said "do you boys need some help docking that rig?"

Well, we said yes. That ol boy jumped up into the truck and within two maneuvers had it docked. We were impressed (and embarrassed).

OBTW, when docked, there wasn't enough room for a man to walk between the sides of the trailer and the walls of the docking station.

Nope, I still can't back up too good .....

THE END

Too late. Fell asleep waiting for the rest. Had nightmares because I was anxious and didn't know if the torque dip made it.

Also, yes.

I can picture it when ultra is a grandpa. "Grandpa, please tell the story about torque dip and torque request again."

Already a grandpa. Discussed the merits of Reimann sums with my oldest the other day.
