HELP! Front bumper installation issues

$24 for one of those latches!

I'm having this issue really bad on my car. Both sides. Bumpers been off a ton of times so i'm sure whatever holds it in is pretty worn down. :/ Wish there was a DIY fix for this. I might just try jamming some 3M tape in there and see what happens. :P

Go to the dealer, TSBs exist for that issue

Will they honor it knowing that my car is heavily modified? And do you know what the TSB number is?

I only have the canadian tsb number, shouldnt be too hard to find by going at the dealer. And unless you have an aftermarket bynper, I dont see why they would deny it

Put the stock one back on ? Get the new clips, reinstall aftermarket ? I dont know man,but worst they can say is no !

I'm not going to let this die. this is my front bumper driver side bumper is only been removed once and been scratched a couple times from ground clearance issues but never hit directly in the front.

Yup mine is still bad too. I maintain the bumper plastic is too soft and the clips are too short

I guess I have been lucky. Pulled the front bumper off 3 times without this happening. I did forget once to put the clips back in above the sidemarker housing both sides and it was popping out a bit there until I realized I had forgotten to put them back.

I bought and replaced these 2 parts and the problem still there.

ok guys just as mentioned two posts above, he is correct only subaru gives a shit about your car in the tsb world, subaru does have a tsb not only that it's been out since LAST year. so if any subaru dealer says they dont know what your talking about then shame on them and convince them to do the right thing. Of course this does not include Canada sorry. SOA issues tsb's under there own and not other countries. the tsb# 12-139-12.

as to the guy with experience with plastic. they only reason i showed skepticism, is due to the fact of where you live compared to where i live im from texas the only other place hotter than us is surrounding states to the left. im going by what your profile location states.
