Oh, I see now. I clicked "play" on the embedded video and it started from the beginning.

Yea weird, I noticed that too. In my quote it showed the starting time point, but the reply linked the start of the video.

My ACE A-350 header was 9.5lbs, not including the overpipe.

So, it's the lightest on the market according to the original list

You didn't happen to weigh the overpipe did you?

I did, but I did not write it down or remember.

It was a smidge lighter than my Perrin overpipe, so it should be right around 3 to 3.5lbs.

I intend to weigh as I install so should have numbers on the full Ace 350. It's light. Will only have to the nearest lb though.

I got the Dezod Motorsports dual exit exhaust. It weighed in at 34lbs total on my scale.

Muffler section: 19lbs
Connecting pipe section: 3.82lbs
Mid-pipe section: 11lbs

They advertise 29.2lbs, so either my scales are not that accurate or it isn't under 30lbs.

Dang - same thing with Thermal, though they don't list the weight; I emailed to ask, and someone went and weighed it for me since they had some out. Said 29.5lbs - came in at 37lbs when I weighed it. I didn't weigh the pieces, but I believe I left one section off the scale at a time and still could not not find ~30lbs.

I like the noise level though, they nailed the resonator. Highway cruise, even with the rear seats down, road noise from the tires (Michelin PSS) and wind noise were the loudest things. Gets a bit brassy higher RPM from behind the car, almost like there's a rattle, but that may just be how the system is going to sound with this header.

I also totally forgot to weigh the Ace 350.

The search for a light-weight and quiet exhaust may simply not be realistic without quite deep pockets. I'll take the money in my pockets and some extra weight for now.

You can build one for pretty cheap. The custom setup I have been using for the past 1.5 years (between all the other exhausts) was 26lbs and plenty quiet enough. It just did not fit well (banged up against the tunnel) and was not pretty lol. I think the key (to keeping sound down) is an OEM resonator. All of these aftermarket ones come with tiny resonators...well, except the Blitz VSR I had, that one was huge.

I don't have the OE resonator in the midpipe, but it's a very large helmholz setup Thermal added. So not really contradictory, but not sure it has to be OE.

I was including 'nice looking and without odd buzzes and rattles' in my list of requirements. Also maybe not making a parachute of the rear bumper.

If I were competitive and thought 10lbs mattered that much that's a different story. Hope the Dezod works out for you though!

I guess large resonator is more appropriate, doesn't have to be OEM, just OEM sized.

While I love maximizing the setup for weight savings, I think I am done and will live the smidge extra weight. There is improvement in my driving that will save more time than an extra 8-10lbs weight savings will.

Open flash header V3 broken down:
Header: 10lb 6.1 oz
Overpipe: 2lb 15.0oz
Clamp: 5.2oz
Header ID 60mm
Header runners ID 44.45mm
op outlet ID 63.5mm

The overpipe has a slip fit and clamp setup to the header and that’s where it steps up to 2.5inch ID. The fit and finish is really damn impressive and the weight is as well for the quality of this piece. Taking my V1 off soon and will get weights and measurements for that as well.
