The 9500ix has a bogey counter too. Arrows are useless to me, I care much more about whether or not a signal is legit than I do where it's coming from. Besides, with experience and some knowledge, I can determine where it is without even looking at the detector. Having used them both, Id go with the 9500ix 10 out of 10 times over the V1.

9500ix user here. I have mine mounted above my rear view mirror on the passenger side. I used an extra piece of invisibleshield I had laying around from an old iPhone to go over the "dot matrix" area of the windshield so that the suction cup mount had a smooth surface to adhere to.

Valentine One or nothing!
Saw about the VA thing, in that case your taking a chance with any as the newest Spectre RDD can detect all on the market as of Jan 5th. Last edited by cruzinbill; 03-21-2013 at 07:08 AM. |

any input on any of the multiple radar detectors mentioned above if they would detect airplane radars?
two maybe three years ago on the 5s coming to los angeles from sacramento, the chp miles ahead in front of me pulled me over when i passed him slowly and wrote me a speeding ticket cause the airplane radar clocked me for 95mph |

First i've heard of this, the STi-R Plus and 9500ci is supposed to be undetectable by spectre. Got a link by any chance?

One of the best, but most expensive is the k40. They will pay your ticket if you get one. I know of a few friends that love there k40 setups.

this used to be the case, though from what i've seen their latest stuff has been complete garbage. A good friend's dad paid way too much for one in his SL55 AMG. he has been pulled over 4 times in a 2 week period from radar detector detectors alone, not to mention the lackluster detection range.
