The CARB Certification process can take some time depending on how big your company is, how many people you have working on it, and your track record of CARB certified products. I'm not sure if Vortech has passed CARB for their SC kit yet. I would guess they would be one of the first.

For the FRS, yes. But is it the same for the BRZ seeing that they are technically the same cars?

Hmm doesn't specify the model.

What's the exact process for getting another one of those stickers?

The actual executive order only lists the FRS.

FALSE FALSE FALSE.

If you buy a new car from out of state, you smog when you bring the car in, and the normal 6 year exemption period applies for all cars less than 6 model years old.

So I ordered that CARB sticker for the TRD intake at the Toyota dealer... no vin required, but who knows if that sticker will get me past a smog inspection or not.

Its like $.50 anyway so might as well at least have one...

This is probably a really dumb question, but if they see the sticker, do they actually run the numbers/code that's on it?
What's to stop someone from just... putting the sticker/stamp on another part?

I would think nothing could stop you from doing that, but if they did catch you, then I'm sure there would be some hefty penalties.

It depends on where you go. Some just look to make sure it goes to your car, and some just look to see you have a sticker.

Care to be more specific?

Which exhaust, are you including headers, etc.?

Also, this thread was made for CARB legal specific items. I totally forgot about it though... Any new CARB stuff out there?
