thanks for the new pics!

You guys think that instead of buying leather seat covers, I PVC wrap the stock cloth ones, it'd be better long term?

Then again, should I get sick of one color, with covers, I can swap it easily.... or blah then again...I can buy seat covers to wrap... man I'm too tired at work atm.

thoughts to be continued...

Depends if you're looking at customizing the seats with a specific color and stitching then you can go Katskinz or Clazzio. Katskinz are leather seats not a cover so expect to pay around $2000, Clazzio are covers and are around 500 but imo look far worse than the Katskinz. If you are ok with Sard's limited colors (i.e. black and red stitching, black with blue center, and red) then they make probably the best forming pvc seat covers I've seen and are about 500. Theres a few other smaller companies but those are the big 3 to choose from that I've seen.

I'm hoping someone that has these seat covers will chime in...

http://www.86worx.com/autowear-seat-covers.html

I was thinking about getting the red and black ones.

So what does a stiffer suspension have to do with sliding around in your seat?

Less body roll of car. If you have stiffer suspensions and your ass is sliding around the car that means your controlling your car's g-force very poorly.

ha, i love my quilted clazzios. as for the side airbags, it designed with a rip away seam so it shouldnt impede the airbag deployment. i cant say for sure since ive managed not to crash. Theyve been on for almost 3 years and holding up nicely. fits well and i dont have any tears. This particular pattern isnt for everyone since 99% of the owners here prefer racecar builds. I prefer a more posh vehicle tho so these covers fit with my car very well

They do offer a little bit of padding which i find super helpful. before i got the covers my back would start hurting in longer drives and after i got the covers on, ive gone on 6 hour drives without any back pain. may not be the case for everyone but this is my experience with them.

also clazzio has some more modest designs if you want something abit more understated. I ordered mine from http://www.guerillaracing.com/scion-fr-s-clazzio-seat-covers/

Know what?

I "slide around" the same amount in a stock car as a modified car. The seat will primarily determine how much movement you have when you sit in the car, not the suspension.

That said, I have never liked leather seats. I was so happy the 86 did NOT come with them standard. Just my personal preference.
