Bought the perfect sports car to complement the BRZ

Alfa Romeo 4C

"WHAT A CAR!!!"

Those were the words I screamed after I hit peak boost with both hands clutching the odd shaped steering wheel for dear life.

I understand why members like @Braces and @MarkR171 chose a 4C over say a //M-car or P-car.

Just like the BRZ / 86, a car cannot simply be measured by numbers. Smiles per gallon is the only metric I go by, and this little Alfa gives you plenty to overdose on.

One car is incredibly balanced, predictable, communicative, an amazing daily driver, and rewards good driving habits.

The other is a vice, criminally unique, abusive at slow speeds, constantly tries to kill you, and rewards bad behavior.

I'm lucky to have both sharing the same garage space.

Nice choice! I always liked the 4C, especially the 4C Quadrifoglio and these two custom ones:

Is it fully carbon fiber or is it carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) like on the BMW i3, or maybe CFRP wrapped in a layer of carbon fiber for looks?

I love the 4C. Made some compromises in the design that made it impractical as a dual-purpose car, but as soon as I get a daily and start stripping my BRZ for track, I plan to find one used I can pick up and have as my weekender. Driving the 4C was an experience I've yet to have replicated in any other car I've been in.

The claim is a fully carbon fiber tub, this video is pretty, but doesn't show the tub parts coming off a mold so there could be some Italian shenanigans but the close up shots definitely sure cf everywhere. Regardless, neat car, mid engined, <2500 lbs, 240hp, Italy does Lotus.

That's a beautiful looking 4C, probably the nicest one I've seen. The dark colored wheels go well with the black accents and lip spoiler. Well done.

The Quadrifoglio is a thing of beauty and Pogea Racing is one of the best tuners for the platform.

As far as the tub being CF or CFRP, I'm leaning towards the former, I know they cut out weaves to showcase the "carbon fiber-ness" on the parts that are exposed in the cabin, but it ain't Pagani levels of pretty.

Not bad at all.
One question, is it true that there is no hood/bonett?

None.

In fact, to remove the front "hood" you have to undo quite a few bolts and it isn't suppose to be user serviceable.

Underneath is the brake + window washer reservoirs.
In typical Italian sensibility, you are provided two funnels to fill both without having to remove the hood.

Very sexy car for sure. Sounds like they won't be making them much longer which is a shame.

My HPDE student had one of these and I got to drive it. Wow. Talk about point and go. Seriously. My student had a tremendous tendency to overdrive and the Alfa just dealt with it and obeyed every input. When I got my student to calm down the car was just hooked up. My only complaint was that I chose to drive it with the super intrusive traction control on. It wasn't my car after all. I don't know about ownership but I would defiantly rent one for a day. One of my favorite cars I have driven.

I'll just leave this right here: https://shopeurocompulsion.net/colle...u-clone-system

They pick up SOOOOOO much power with a tune. My student had one and I basically spent the next day on autotrader desperately trying to find one I could afford.
