The only comparison I made was: a twin with stickier tires is MUCH faster than a twin without sticky tires.

And its laughable when people compare track times between a base twin and whatever vehicle with some sort of track package. (track pack mustang, HFP civic) whatever.
Here, videos speak louder than words. At this point, so many Twins have been tested on stickier tires that the improvement is pretty well established.

And these:

There's a bunch more out there, like the nearly half-minute improvement on the Nurburgring. Seems like every publication wanted to try it out for themselves.

Maybe it's your car, or maybe you're running slicks? I run Direzza ZII's and I have absolutely no issue getting the back end out. I actually need more grip in the back. I'm likely going to be putting on a front sway bar soon to try and help keep it from oversteering.

That being said, I wouldn't mind having that extra half liter of displacement for day to day driving. As for the track though, I wouldn't want any more high end power but rather a smoother torque range.

Lol, the very first reviews of the new Mustang I read complained about the extra weight. The comments about the new suspension seemed rather lukewarm compared to what they seemed to have been expecting to be honest.

Really not a glowing review for a $46k Mustang w/ the "performance" pack that's still slower than a older fat Camaro.

Glad I didn't wait for it. Yeah, it's an improvement pretty much across the board but somehow quite a disappointment. That's a special feat to pull off by Ford.

no slicks lol 245 sport comp 2. i cant drift by forcing it out, clutch kick or feint etc. But slamming the gas in 2nd or 3rd out of a turn will not step out like it did on sticky 215s, hm maybe the suspention setup. itd have been nice if the motor got larger gains from bolt ons, some how get the car into mid 13s n/a id be happy

Yea, I just get a chirp going from 2nd > 3rd. I definitely don't see it stepping out in 3rd. It can be a pain sometimes to keep it from getting tail happy at autocross events though which is always in 2nd for the most part. It's fun and looks good, but terrible for times. Plus the camera's are only there when you spin.

Similar to the track test this one pretty much dings the weight killing the power/weight ratio for the 4 banger.

In the ^frame^ above I was thinking the Camaro looked downright slim compared to the Mustang. Probably just the angle...

I like how the new 2015 Mustang looks but it would probably cost 2 x BRZ's price in Finland. All Mustangs are ridiculously overpriced here.

I just checked what kinda Mustang I could get with BRZ's price (35k€) and car with lowest mileage was 2008 Mustang 4.0 V6 that has been imported from US. It has 45000 miles on the clock and price tag is 34900€.

Here they are about the same price. Mustang ecoboost with track package is faster than a frs on that track at least.

Yeah, at a price as tested of $38K and still slower than a normal WRX.

I think I could put close to $15K of that difference towards performance tires, brakes, suspension and power and do quite well.
