Surprise from the dealer in the mail!
My dealer mailed me a BRZ Marketing Preview today! I'm assuming most people have seen it, (if not I can take some pictures), but its just nice to actually have something BRZ relating in my hands!
I've been very pleased with the salesman I have been dealing with, I'm just hoping they stick with MSRP or under. |

What dealer are you using in PA? I'm curious because mine hasn't been proactive.

I tried take pictures but they aren't very good. I'll have to scan it in. |

I have a Marketing Preview in my grubby hands! I'll scan it when I get to work in the morning. It's likely someone will post pics before then.
Hot details? EPA fuel economy numbers: (city/hwy/avg] 22/30/25 for 6MT, 25/34/28 for 6AT. [this implies the EPA ratings are skewed and the 6MT will actually get closer to the 6AT numbers, that's my hunch] Curb weights: MT: 2762/2776, AT: 2809/2822. I can deduce that means a Premium 6MT is 2762, Limited 6MT is 2776, Premium 6AT is 2809, and Limited 6AT is 2822. [only ~14 lbs for the Limited trim bits! Auto trans adds ~47 lbs] Ordering Codes: Premium 6MT = DZA/01, Limited 6MT = DZE/01, Premium 6AT = DZB/01, Limited 6AT = DZF/01 Timeline: *March 2nd, National Digital Banner Ad and Keyword Search campaign begins *March 15th, Expansion of 13MY BRZ model info on subaru.com *Early April, 13MY BRZ Wallet materials begin to post on subarumarketing.com *May, Vehicles arrive in Dealerships, Showroom Brochures arrive, etc. Target Customer: [summary] Median age 47 67% male 67% married 39% w/children at home motivated career push, sophisticated and refined, adventurous, cultured, on-the-go. Target competitors: Miata, Civic Si, Gen Coupe, Cooper S, FR-S, GTI, Mustang [secondary], Camaro [secondary] "We're calling this driver the Seasoned Spirit"

Hrmm... Automatic MPG looks pretty good. I'm sure a babied MT would get the same. Median age and demo is scary... :0 It means they might have reason to price it higher. Though it's not too surprising, I'm sure the FRS age is low 30's. The weights for the premium vs. limited aren't too bad, I can see the FRS being about 10-20lbs lighter which isn't too much of a difference. 14lbs more for the Limited doesn't seem too bad for the leather, heated seats, push button start and auto climate control. Bah! I just want to see them on the road!!.111!! |

Ok here are the pictures. Sorry that they are all not rotated correctly, there was an error when I tried to save them in the correct configuration and I'm running out of time at home. I'm assuming everyone will be able to rotate them in their Jpeg viewer when they download them...

Why do I get this feeling Subaru is marketing this car towards the wealthy...on the go events: golf events and boating? I thought this was suppose to be an affordable sports car...I'm not anywhere near the target consumer demographic
