Southbend Stage 2 clutch is installed, full Motul fluid swap done!

Now that I know how to do a clutch swap, I am absolutely sure I would never want to voluntarily do one again. 100% not worth the 8 hours it took, next time I'll just pay someone to do it.

I did run into a small issue where the car doesn't recognize that it's been put into reverse. I can reverse just fine, but the reverse lights and backup camera don't activate. Anyone know what it could be?

If I recall correctly, there's a white cable that runs on the top of the transmission, which runs to sensors on either side of the trans. One of those is for reverse sensing. There's a chance you broke/disconnected the reverse one.

Wasn't the white cable, but the grey connector on the top of the trans wasn't pushed in all the way. it looked like it was but there was another 1mm before it clicked in properly.

Gratz on the $$.

But, this mining boom has me in fits. Bitcoin being worth that much is a problem for those building gaming computers.

GTX 1080TI GPUs are absolutely too high in price because of crypto miners and the storage of stock. Hell, any gtx 1070-titan series card is being scalped by miners right now.

Your car's looking good!
4 months on the camber plates, zero clunking so far.

I moved to downtown Dallas a few weeks ago and even the speed bumps in my new apartment complex don't cause any new noises. Did you get yours figured out?

I set up a small side business building GPU and ASIC mining rigs for some friends and its getting pretty hard to find the cards. Luckily, I work for a small tech company and one of our sales guys has been getting the cards for me from a contact he has.

I'm interested to hear opinions on this. The product looks well made. I like that the reverse lockout is made of delrin, and that they used bearings instead of bushings on the linkage.

That was part of why I got it, the kartboy has tons of rattle complaints. I didn't see any reviews so I thought I'd take the plunge and write one for the community

Any particular reason you chose this over getting the STI short shifter?

Price mostly.

FT86SF - $275 ($250 after the discount code I used)
STI - $395

I anxiously... patiently await your review.

The STi shifter was on my list due to it not having the rattles of the kartboy. $400 is steep though, even though it's OEM.

Side note: What code gave you $25 off?

I'm pretty excited for it. I was hoping to install it this week before the DFW86 meet but it hasn't even shipped yet so looks like it'll be later.

There was a card with a one time use code in the box with my last order. I haven't seen it in any of the other orders I placed with them, but since that last order was over $1000 (clutch, flywheel, fluids, etc) I'm guessing they tossed it in.
