Well the G turned up at the UAE motor show (seen here from about 3:30

)

They were talking within the next 2 years.

I think order books open Nov/Dec for May delivery.

Not to sound like your accountant but I'd wait for till 2012, esp if you don't have any money. No need to rush out and buy the first year unless you absolutely have to. I'm still getting TSB's on my Tacoma and that thing is 6 yrs old.

read the japanese article. it really doesn't say anything about turbo charging, 300hp, or march release. it says release date will be end of 2011.

What that being said, I'm going to wait a couple years once this FT comes out. Toyota seems to be slipping in the QA dept lately. My buddy just brought in his 08 Tundra for the cab TSB. They had to lift the entire cab and add rubber mounts to reduce the vibration.

Don't worry, I will wait for 2012 because by that time i should have enough money. We will should see this car on Top gear by that time.

Lets just hope it even comes out.

hmm, my '06 only really has the crappy rear springs, but otherwise really solid. so it seems like it might very well be a good idea to wait until the FT86 is a few years old. if anything, maybe lease one for a few years and let them work the bugs out, then turn it in and purchase a shiny new one!

Yeah I had mine swapped twice till the point I had ened up getting some deavers.

-My tailgate is bowed in the middle from my moto's rear tire resting on it over time.

-My compass/clock stopped working (resistor resoldering fix)

-When I had the OEM Bilsteins, the rear bottoms out way too easily with my bike in the back

-I have the vibrating sound between 20-40mphs (thought it was my diff drop spaces but it wasn't)

-Overfender paint started to chipping

-The windshield wiper still makes a whistling noise at around 85 mph

Little sh*t here and there that makes me wonder where did Toyota's quality go?! My '89 4x4 was damn near bulletproof.

I sure hope we haven't came to a day-in-age where Hyundai is beating Toyota in quality...
