I wouldn't mind either of those two options, but I'd rather have something that normal people can afford. Maybe a bigger FT a twin turbo H6.

I love boxer engine and all, but if they gonna go for h6 twin turbo, I prefer they put v6 twin turbo instead.

They replace their 6 cyl engines every ~8-10 years or so. If they can make a V10 as small as a their V6 and Lighter than their V8s, I'm really amped to see what they are going to come up with this time next year or year after. |

New supra would compete with next gen M3/GT-R/Z06 so at least 60k not more than 85k. would proly use a version of the IS-F motor.

Wide valve angle heads ("G") are dead for turbo applications. It's all narrow angle now ("F"). A turbo motor would definitely use direct injection, so there needs to be an "S" in there. In the highly unlikely event they were to go twin turbo, it would be a 2GR-FSTE. But why in the world would they develop that whole new motor rather than just use the excellent 2UR-GSE out of the IS-F if they want big (>400) horsepower? |

[QUOTE=enc0re;14903]The IS-F comes in at $59K. Why in the world would they position a Toyota above a Lexus. That makes no sense.[/QUOTE
cause it's a supra. Different class than is-f |

I think you missed my point. I was talking about building a V6 around the same ideology of their V10 (Lightweight, bulletproof, compact, free revving), while of course having direct injection/ignition, valvematic & maybe even stop-start technology as well. Heck, while they are at it, I'd hope they would feel free to make it able to accept turbos in certain applications, maybe even throw on some of those variable geometry turbos they've been working on for the last couple of years (feel free to leave off the electric spool). |
