Anyone ever try to slap on a blow off valve on their phantom?

Nope
Why?
The boost pressure decreases with rpm. Why would you want to have less boost?

I don't think you would make less boost? the blow off valve only opens when the throttle is shut. I'm just saying so you can get the lil woosh sound when you shift. I might just buy an eBay one and see if it works. Also I plan on putting to electric superchargers in parallel so I imma be pushing more air through so I might just actually need it.

If anyone knows who cleetus mcfarland is on youtube, he just got a torqamp to test out, and dynoed it. made 5psi slowly tapering down to 3psi on a 2.2L engine redlining at 6800rpm,
110whp/113wtq baseline with old 87 octane,
123whp/123wtq with a tune,
146whp/150wtq with torqamp installed.
157whp/153wtq with adding 1 gallon of methanol to the old 87 octane.

I just watched the video earlier today, those guys were thoroughly impressed that it actually worked. I wonder how much power the car would have made with added bolt ons like an intake, full catless exhaust, and maybe even a throttlebody

They tried two torque amps together as well

The two torque amps made more power when set up in parallel(both blowing into one throttle body) compared to sequential ( one turbo blowing into the other) but the sequential set up had a much smoother acceleration. The parallel set up seems to cause the engine to surge. I wonder if larger injectors would fix that problem.

Too expensive to even be worth it. They're toys imo.

I was lucky enough to get my hands on two phantoms all for about 2k Only problem is that the switch cable/volt meter and the controller on one of the units are from two different versions. So I've yet to get it to work. I figure with some rewiring I can manage, and In the end I too plan on having both blowing in parallel. I'm hoping to atleast hit 250whp and 225wtq

At 5 to 6 psi those numbers should be attainable

Playing devils advocate, what if these electric turbos were tuned to come on gradually, not just full on/off?

+ No additional exhaust temps lingering in the engine bay.
+ No special header needed.
+ No need for an intercooler.
- What happens if you drive through a puddle? ZAP!!
- Costs as much or more than traditional turbo kit.
- Aesthetically looks like a toy to the enthusiast.

Would I spend my hard earned money on one? No.
I think it's a cool concept though.

You still have to power them. Not worth it when there are exhaust gases to do the work.

I wil try to explain a bit how it worked out.
When you see the compressor map of the TORQAMP below the line is not starting at 0 flow.
This is the same for every compressor map.

So the flow should be at 5lb/min (40g/s), otherwise there will be back flow in the compressor wheel (surge).
The flow of a 2 liter engine at 2000rpm at wide open throttle is around 30g/s, add 0.4bar/ 6psi boost and you will end up with 42g/s of air flow.
So no surge on a 2 liter engine above 2000 rpm with a single compressor.

Then adding a second compressor in parallel setup.
The flow should be doubled which means approximately double the engine rpms.
So above the 4000rpm on a 2 liter engine you are out of the surge region.

When running the compressors in series the pressure ratio will be a 1.4x1.4 so 1.96 (around 10 a 15psi boost) at low rpms and will decrease to 0 at the higher rpms.
So huge torque gain when the compressors are placed in series and Huge horsepower when placing them in parallel.

TORQAMP compressor map:

Random compressor map.
