Well, it is the off-season here so I won't know till late march. However I highly doubt there will be an issue. I got 10mm alumalite and it is very solid. I stood on a drop piece that was 12" by 4' while it was off the ground on concrete blocks. My 140lbs hardly bent it.

Same, I would think it would be. Let us know how you make out once things thaw out. I'm going to look into it.

Your build is looking good!

In my absence I did build a computer for VR iRacing. It's a pretty basic build but it pegs the max frame rate for VR throughout an entire race. So I am happy.

They appear to have added a tube as well as the scoop/diffuser but the concept is there.

Which TT class are you running? With NASA or SCCA? You'll likely get protested (NASA) with the diffusers outside TTU if anyone notices. Just a head up

I'm not running in TT. I changed the title of my thread a while back when I was. And now the forum wont let me change it back. I just do NASA HPDE as an instructor. I do compete in a local tracks time attack series but that series is strictly tire and HP based. NASA rules state "the splitter is to be flat and not protrude from the OEM bumper more than 4". - My revised version breaks both of those points.

Alright, I'm back. Just bought a set of Advan A052s to start the year. Still thinking about what brake pads I want to try. Also putting together a trailer tie down setup since my new splitter blocks my front tow hooks and I will be finishing my wrap soon. First tentative track day is at Lime Rock on April 10th if it is warm enough. Hopefully some testing at Pineview before that.

Have you run the A052's before? I am curious on hearing some feedback on them. I'd like to try a next level 200TW tire but I really enjoy how my Z3's drive.

I haven't tried the A052s. My review will be strictly track biased however I will tell you the comparable RE71Rs are MUCH stickier than the Z3s. I was down .5-1.5 seconds off RE71R times at every track with the Z3's last year. Although they did last much longer.

Those aren't on my list. Thinking G-loc or just sticking with Hawk. I'll take a look at Ferodo.

More specifically I am curious how they feel at the limit. Will they tolerate a bit of slip angle? How do they feel when they breakaway, is it progressive or sudden?

I have heard they drive like an RE71R except they dont wear as fast. Alignment is scheduled for the first week of April. So a review should come a little after that as long as the weather cooperates.
