You'd still have some loss in performance, probably not significant enough to really worry about unless you're racing. I don't really like the boxer rumble, twin scroll efficiency for life !

Different turbos but same concept: http://dsportmag.com/the-tech/twin-s...-great-divide/

Here's a decent comparison from DSport as well: http://dsportmag.com/the-tech/full-r...spirated-fa20/

It's not exactly apples to apples (different dynos, different tuners, etc) and it doesn't have a boost curve on the plot, but it sure looks like the twin scroll turbo (Velox Shop Car) spools quite a bit faster than the single scroll 7163 (DSport shop car).

DSport Single Scroll V-Band 7163, stock engine, 15psi, e85

Velox Twin Scroll 7163, stock engine, 13.5-14psi, E80

Thanks,
Eric
Thanks Eric. Your insight is appreciated as always. I'm guessing there is no way to get rumble AND twin scroll spool speeds is there?

I'm not well versed enough to answer that question. There are other applications that use twin scroll turbos with unequal length manifolds. However, being that they are unequal length no matter what, perhaps the twin scroll is still beneficial here vs a single scroll. I'm not sure and don't have the answer.

Build your car however you want, you'll be happier at the end of the day .

Thanks,
Eric

Don't worry about that. I definitely do as I please with it, I just hate doing something twice (like buying a header and deciding I don't like it and replacing it). I know what I want, just not all the details on how to get there

What about combining a single scroll uel with one of these: http://www.spracingonline.com/store/...ool_Valve/3659 and a twin scroll turbo? Maybe the best of bother worlds?

I would never not run a twin scroll if given the choice.
I'd also never run an unequal length exhaust manifold.

Fortunately you're not obligated to

Perhaps. The description written more like a gimmick part than what you normally see on fancier manufacturers websites but the concept seems legit. Kinda spendy but you have to pay to play I guess. What are your thoughts @VeloxEric ? Seem legit?

Not a wise decision in my opinion.

Let's steer this thread back to Full-Race's turbo kit though...

If you guys want to discuss various styles of turbos, I'd suggest you start a new thread with a more appropriate title to get better feedback from various owners and interested parties. Just my 0.02.

Thanks,
Eric

Is there a chart or table comparison of EFR turbos against the Garrett GTX lineup? I'm having a hard time trying to find out what size/model in the EFR line up is comparable to one in the GTX lineup.

This is just for the sake of deciding on what EFR size to go with. ie. if my thought process is right. I want something along the lines of what the GTX28's offer, but obviously want all the benefits and overhead for more power from what BW EFR offers.

There isn't. The 7163 is roughly equivalent to 3071/3076, while the 6258/6758 is roughly equivalent to the GT28. I still personally recommend the 7163 for the benefits listed in this thread but the end decision is yours.

Thanks,
Eric

I do not know anyone with that kit and the full-race kit currently.

Thanks,

Full race will have their oil cooler kit ready by the end of the month. It's setup to mount to their crash bar (I was the test fit car). That with a velox radiator will give you just about all the cooling you could need.
