Seaside Cruise Saturday, July 7th

Hey guys, anyone interested in a cruise from Portland to Seaside on Saturday, July 7th? We could meet at Cars & Coffee near the Portland airport, then head out highway 26 to the great and twisty highway 53, then up 101 to Seaside where we can grab a bite and then drive back home to Portland on the same route.

Shout if you are in, or if you have any better ideas!

After "while" we will roll out of there to Seaside. Here is a map that I put together:
http://goo.gl/maps/ji1F

9:00a: Cascade Station @ 10005 NE Cascades Pkwy, Portland OR
9:30a: Leave Cars & Coffee
> Columbia Blvd > St Johns Bridge > Germantown > Hwy 26 > Hwy 53
12:00p: Nehalem OR
> Hwy 101 North
12:30p: Seaside OR
(lunch stop)
1:30p: Leave Seaside OR
> Hwy 101 North
2:00p: Astoria OR
> Hwy 202 > Hwy 47 > Hwy 30
4:30p: Portland OR

I'm more of a fan that we find our own bite to eat in Seaside instead of trying to cram all of us into a long table in the middle of the lunch rush.

I'm totally in!

But I live north of Seattle and I don't have my FRS yet... so I guess I'm out.

Maybe I should say yes....I have been aching for a state to state drive...plus I need to rack up some miles...only 550 so far.

Count me in, tentatively And I'll tentatively put July 7th on my calendar

On the upside, if I drive down to Portland, my engine and tires will be super warm and ready for some twisties, hehehe.

That would be cool if a couple of you Washington guys came down. I head up there every so often... so if you don't make it down here then I'll be up eventually!

OK guys, this is a week away. Let's firm this up.

Meet at Cars & Coffee at 9am at Cascade Station

After "while" we will roll out of there to Seaside. Here is a map that I put together:
http://goo.gl/maps/ji1F

9:00a: Cascade Station @ 10005 NE Cascades Pkwy, Portland OR
> Columbia Blvd > St Johns Bridge > Germantown > Hwy 26 > Hwy 53
11:30a: Nehalem OR
> Hwy 101 North
12:00p: Seaside OR
(lunch stop)
1:00p: Leave Seaside OR
> Hwy 101 North
1:30p: Astoria OR
> Hwy 202 > Hwy 47 > Hwy 30
4:00p: Portland OR

I'm more of a fan that we find our own bite to eat in Seaside instead of trying to cram all of us into a long table in the middle of the lunch rush.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Highway 53 between hwy 26 and Nahelam, but I have never driven the return route from Astoria to Scapoose. I am pretty sure that there won't be any issues with the route, but if anyone can confirm that it would be nice.

Also, our Washington friends can split off onto highway 47 north when we get onto highway 47 south and that will take them
up to highway 30, then across the bridge into Kelso so they can get a head start on their trip home.
Any comments?

Did a similar drive a couple of weeks ago through Astoria to Cannon Breach. Should be fun. Would like the opportunity to meet fellow FR-S owners, but I will be in Bend driving the family mobile. . . . .
