Quote to fix was $22k

Sill needs to be replaced
Door replaced
L rear quarter replaced
Rear beaver panel replaced
Boot replaced
Plus all the other bits, the list of parts and required work was huge.

Basically cut off the rear and left side of car to the roof, and then replace.

Full car respray.

This wasn't going to be a hammer and putty job, and from what I have found, these things crumple bad at even a 40kph hit to the rear quarter.

The insurance company told me they were not happy with the quote, they assessed it would cost even more for a "proper" repair without cutting corners and their assessor said post repair liability was too high to accept.

It will be at Pickles autions soon.

I'm sitting at work currently looking at new cars.

The title of this thread mentions a Prius. Am I missing something? That's a Subaru. I'm thinking a Prius would have done less damage. Please correct me if I'm wrong. I'm old...

Three vehicles were involved. Not pictured was a Prius, who's driver was preoccupied smelling their own farts and judging everyone else at the time of the accident.

You're a quick study. Soon you will be notified that there is millions of unclaimed dollars waiting for you. Be sure to give them your SSAN and bank account numbers -
