Lol yeah my friend lost the clip and thought that we needed it but then in the instructions apparently it wasn't really necessary, so yeah we both no longer have clutch springs no regrets

I'm very surprised at all the positive reviews for this that it makes it really tempting. I would be more inclined to do it if reversing it was easier. I also don't seem to have any difficultly starting off smoothly using the clutch in its stock configuration so it makes me question whether it is worth it for me. Maybe there will be someone local who has done it to their car that I can eventually try out.

Did this today to my gt86.

I regret that I havent done this mod earlier!
Switching is now so much smoothier and feel of the clutch is much better.

e-clip AND stud was so pain in the ass but after little fight I managed to remove those (without even losing )

After fighting the spring out of place, I can say that this made my clutch 100x better. The heavier clutch isnt an issue, and i can now tell where my clutch releases.

To anyone trying to get the spring out of place once the pin is out, have a friend hold the clutch pedal in place, and you push on one of the pin legs. Should come out.

Took us over an hour to get it out before we found that method...

I think that if someone has issues with that heavier clutch he really need to go train more legs.

For those who didn't put the e clip back on the pin, are you getting rattles at high RPM? I am hearing metal clanging when I push the car pass 4k RPM during 1st-3rd gear. I am certain it's from the rod and the pin moving freely without the e clip.

Why didn't you put the E-clip back on?

I would say easiest way to not lose the eclip is to have a magnet in the vicinity so it's next to impossible to lose! Not worth the stress of not knowing if your clutch petal is going to be laying on the floor lol!
