Count me in on the duplicate issue. Good thing I checked this before I went to install them. I was wondering why there was still so much activity on this thread

Thanks again for your understanding, folks. At this point, if anybody receives a kit that doesn't have two identical brackets, let us know. Otherwise, we'll be in contact with those of you whose kits have shipped tomorrow regarding the exchange of the brackets. We'll have you guys up and running in no time, don't worry!

Tony assembled the kits, but he's not to blame for the mix up (sorry, Tony!). Basically, we had a late design change that added an extra tab to the lower bracket to prevent it from spinning. This meant that the parts went from identical to side-specific, which is where we had a miscommunication with the assembly guys. It won't happen again, so we'll chalk it up to a lesson learned! Again, thanks for sticking with us here guys/gals. If you still have any questions after you've been contacted tomorrow, give me a call (612-379-0000, ask for Matt) and I'll personally make sure we work things out before hanging up.

Hey Matt, so if we were one of the first 55 orders, are you guys contacting us first to make arrangements to exchange the brackets or are you just sending the correct part out to the same address as the original order? Is it the same shipping method?

And don't sweat it. Think of an FT86club pre-order groupbuy as a big beta test for your retail run

I'm not entirely sure how we're going to do it just yet, but I can promise you that we're going to get replacements out ASAP.

I haven't sent my payment as of yet (was gone snowboarding since the PMs went out). Should I submit it soon or wait a little bit for all this to get sorted out? I'm not really in a rush for anything since the cars in storage until April. Would just prefer not to have to ship anything twice to Canada ...

Definitely continue sending payments!
We've got everything completely sorted out on our end for all future shipments, nothing to worry about. :happy0180:

Just received an email regarding this. Looks like we'll be getting new brackets and shipping the old one back (as would be expected).

I appreciate the quick response to this, and I hope to have the new brackets in hand to get these struts installed by the weekend. It's warming up around here, need something to do!

I just poked my head into assembly and they've got the replacements all boxed up with return labels enclosed. They'll be going out today, so you should expect them to arrive on Wednesday or Thursday. We'll have you just repackage your duplicate bracket, slap the label on the box and send it back.

They're giving you the box and return label...not that hard to walk it to the mailbox.

Seriously...how could you possibly complain about getting the box and return label?
