Remove parts for plasti-dip
I've had part of my interior wrapped in red carbon fiber vinyl, but there still isn't enough red for me so I'm thinking of plasti-dipping some areas.
I'd be pretty much doing what this guy did (he shows you how to remove the trim pieces) [ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z4YhKxot73k"]How to remove BRZ/FR-S Interior trim pieces - YouTube[/ame] However, there's one other piece that I'd like to remove, which he doesn't show in the video: (that's just a google photo) Has anyone had any experience removing that piece? I'm referring to the frame only. |

Bump again, and apologies for that. Does no one really know how to remove that centre trim piece?

Pull off the stereo surround first. There are two screws under the vent that are holding it in place. Remove those. The vent is one piece that pulls straight out toward you. Use a thin credit card to wedge between the rubber dashboard and the plastic vent and work it away from the dashboard. Once you can get your fingers around it, carefully wiggle/pull the entire thing toward you. Just be patient and try not to break the plastic.
