Trust me, I will chime in If we too start seeing such a high failure rate as well.

Respectful communication! This is how it's done ladies and gents. I commend both of these companies.

But green fuel pumps can't fail.... And this is not a true "drop in" pump as it's about 10mm longer then the factory one.

What is the stance on Aeromotive's Stealth fuel pump ? I see they've released a compact version also the Stealth 325.

I had a failure on a DW65 pump on my Civic, luckily I'm running dual pumps and E96 so that prevented engine damage. DW did replace the pump under warranty, and cited that it was 10% below spec but the lean condition on the dyno indicated a bigger problem than being only 10% below spec.

So everything is Chinese except which brands? I find it hard to believe that Aeromotive are. Denso and Walbro? By the way @Calum will not approve of this thread.

If they look identical, sans body color and logo, probably a strong bet.

Denso and Walbro get my vote for the quality of their internals over the Chinese rebrands.

Hi guys

From my personal experience, I went from the 65C to the AEM green weenie.

When we had the 65C, we couldnt get the car to run right. Starting was very difficult.
It would always stall on the grid and I would 'lose' the pedal dance.
I ended up running the session with just a 5 second button push or trying the pedal dance again.
It was very frustrating to always be way off the top times.

We put in the AEM pump and the car started and ran so much better, that we had to change the tune(s).

Yesterday, at the FR shootout, I ran the car on corn juice for the first time.

Zero issues.
We had some unrelated issues in the beginning and wasted the best part of the morning but nevermind.

The AEM pump seems to work great, but its not pnp.

I'm using the dw65c, installing fuel pumps in our cars seem to be an art form at the moment as no one has it down to an exact science yet. I also had hard starting issues with the dw65c on pump gas, but it went away when I switched to e85. I'm curious to try the AEM pump if I get more trouble with the DW.

I have it down to exact science....

Took me installing around 10 pumps, but I can install ny pump correctly now.

There are a lot of small nuances that are very easy to overlook when installing one of these pumps the first time

Once you've done a few, it becomes pretty easy.

There are a bunch of DIY's and even some youtube tutorials. All of the little ins and outs are listed, just make sure you follow them closely.

A few of the small things that can trip you up would be where the hoses run inside of the carrier. It's very easy to route it incorrectly, and it may seem fine but in reality it's kinked. Then there's also the routing of the pump wires, and how to close the carrier once you have everything back together. Depending on the pump, you may need to zip tie the carrier or let it compress on itself once it's back in the tank. Also, when you're disassembling everything initially, it may be a pain in the ass to unscrew the main white plastic cover on the tank, but if you use a hammer and chisel, it's extremely easy. For the DW pumps, there was also some confusion as to how many plastic washers were needed.

As much as I dislike what this guy has done to the community, I found that his video was one of the best DIY's for swapping the actual pump
