Wings like that are used to increase downforce dramatically to increase grip in the rear. You see them on cars in street prepared autocross classes quite often, especially Miatas. But they are trailer driven or the spoilers are removed for daily driving.

Well I was thinking the v3 or smaller ducktail wouldn't be too much drag but I might as well get a gt wing then...or maybe I should just go with the 10 series spoiler?

I have a base frs so looking for any suggestions for a spoiler that helps aero at street speeds?

Lol I want to go for a form over function build but I got my frs a month ago havn't done much yet just put tints and led plate

Amigo, by definition, any aero device that might help performance (downforce?) is going to increase drag. If it doesn't increase drag, it ain'ta gonna give you no downforce.

There ain't no free lunch.

The spoiler the dealers add on are perfectly symetrical in design with the stock trunk/body lines

I have a OEM spoiler, I really like it. As for MPG it makes no diffrence if you are like me and drive hard, so I say go for one you like the looks of.

I'm 20 and still learning I guess I'll get duckbill...not sure between v2 or v3

So with more drag you get more downforce?

No.
With more down force you get drag.
You can also have up force, lateral force or neutral force that will create drag all dependent on what is creating the force.
