I'll tell you the point...fast forward to Spring 2012 and you walk into your local Scion dealership.

YOU: "hi, I understand you got an FR-S in"
SALES: "yes, but it's already sold"
YOU: "when do you get more in?"
SALES: "we might have ONE next month" "but that one is sold too"
YOU: " "
SALES: "and the month after that, sold, after that, sold..."

The vehicle is not gonna sell that fast so your argument is invalid.. Besides, the longer I wait to get means the more bigger the down payment.. and IF I have to wait that long I could just get a used one from some fuck head who couldnt afford payments and get pretty much a brand new vehicle 20% to 30% cheaper. SO the will turn into a Its a WIN-WIN situation for me.

Exactly, you know how many college kids will buy this car and not be able to afford it? Used may be the way to go for this car, but even if it's used they might ask MSRP anyway.

On Topic: I was going to submit until I saw the fine print, "Even if you aren't selected, you agree to be emailed and called by local dealerships. Their nuisance will be our way of saying thanks!"

For how much market attention this car is getting I doubt the college kids will get a fair shake in comparison to those of us who have proven our intent...

Dealerships would be silly to absolutely annoy you with a car that is this important to their lineup. If you don't own a car under the Toyota family and they want to earn your business, I would at least give them a chance to.

I guess not.

Interestingly enough, you can still fill out the form and enter...

They either forgot to shut it off or left it open to add to dealership lead lists.

I guess we should get an email either way?

"Scion will contact you within 24 hours of your request and let you know if you have been selected as one of the 86."

I'd assume that means an email either way lol

The wording changed at 8:06 EST last night, from one that mentioned the opening time frame of 9 AM PST and 8 hours 6 minutes, to what it says now.

I'm sure they are just collecting more names.

I guess I didn't pay that much attention.

The form still has all the "color and transmission choice are final blah blah" disclaimers so I didn't pay much attention beyond that
