No idea. I am not a Facebook fan. This forum is outstanding it is just the London part that is boring. Too few of us.

To each their own, it's not for everyone and I respect that. It is a huge group with a lot of active members which means there are all types of people and a range of ages. There are a lot of new members joining, which is great, but I do find some of them to be a younger crowd/generation with some different priorities (which I'm guessing is some of your hesitations and I can respect that). I find this less so in the London crew.

My husband has been 'part' of the group since before I met him 11 years ago and things have definitely changed over time. Over the last couple of years, I have
found the group to be very welcoming and at no point have I been made to feel less of an enthusiast because I am female....which I have found in other circles sadly.

The group hosts large monthly meets in different parts of the province, weekly local/pop-up meets, tracking events, poker runs, show and shines, trips to Rally at Tall Pines, Wicked, and they do a ladies only cruise which I met some great ladies at last year. They even had a massive group and went go-karting earlier this year! Their last event was a poker run that drew in almost 100 cars!!

All I'm saying is if you wanna meet other local enthusiasts, come on out. See what the group is like for yourself instead of judging people you don't know just because they have a few stickers on their cars. I expect the April 28th meet to be pretty large and draw members from all over Ontario. The local pop-up meets are always a much smaller group, of course.

Bold statement - lots of members track their cars - myself included. I'm actually pretty sure the group has considered renting a track for a private event as well. But again, car clubs/groups aren't everyone's cup of tea.

Oh I plan to meet up. I am just leery. In fairness many of the pictures that I saw were probably from the bigger cities. Also it isn't an age thing. I got along just fine with the Nor Cal group all the times I met up with them and they are mostly younger. I think it is more just sort of the "theme" of the club that comes across by the stuff on the internet. I know I prejudging based on very limited info. Will probably try to come out on the 28th but I think we are already booed for the day.
