It has nothing to do with E85, it's a known problem. Just take it in and get it fixed.

Bullet dodged, last dealer oil change installed to washer/gasket on the drain plug. Don't know why it waited so long to leak, problem solved with a "sorry, our fault" from the dealer as well. Happy ending, as far as I'm concerend!

why not just do the oil changes yourself???

its literally the easiest thing you could possibly do.

i would never let anyone work on my car, unless it is something very major that i cant do.

Well, PetrolioBenzina, I'm glad that the leak was an easy fix.

However, I'm gonna hafta give you a for not checking that first off - before you went wolf crying OIL LEAK here on the forum.

Allow me to respond for ol @PetrolioBenzina.

You see, Twin-Dragons, ol PetrolioBenzina lives in Oregon.

Hell, they won't even let them pump their own gas in Oregon.

Now, he being in Oregon, the environmentally correct state, he has several constraints on changing his own oil.

* what to do with the old oil? How to safely transport it to a recycling center?

* used engine oil is a carcinogen (according to the folks in CA), therefore he would have to have a hazmat suit to handle it.

* disposing of the empty oil cans is a problem - they would have to be triple rinsed before recycling. Then what is he to do with the rinsate?

* and there is the oil soaked rags - they cannot be put in the trash to contaminate the land fills.

* the disposal of the old oil filter is a major problem - it cannot be effectively rinsed.

See, for some of us, it ain't all that easy.

Plus, I don't have a garage unless I use my sisters, and that's hard to do. Plus, I don't have the tools to get the thing off the ground. Plus, I'd rather have a record of maintenance at the dealer in case there are issues like an oil leak while still under warranty.

I do, however, drive to WA and pump my own gas when I'm not using E.

Edit: I do admit I failed in not thinking of the drain plug first. I blame this forum for that.

You spend too much time on here making sense. My first thought was "Drain plug? Nah. It's Petro."

I keep bringing mine to the dealer for the record of maintenance too.
Also at $25 for a synthetic oil change on Sundays, why bother when they do it for less than cost of the oil and filter?

Why? Because I'm old and lazy -
