Maybe this is the case, and the process is taking three years, but I believe a more appropriate description would have been to say that the company was working on development of a CARB kit, so as not to lead the consumer into a false expectation.

Imagine buying something online and then, instead of the order status moving from processed to delayed-at-port or backordered, clearly describing the situation, it just said pending shipping... forever. Your patience could wear thin. I’m getting there. I’m just fortunate that California extended the smog requirement two more years.
My point was that they may have registered Harrop USA in order to help finalize the process. I can understand why you're frustrated, and am not saying it isn't warranted.

I do work a lot with both government and industry specific regulations (e.g. HIPAA, PCI, GDPR, SOX, ISO), and in many cases the people doing the certification don't fully understand the subject matter, so if A does not exactly match B, it fails. Maybe to offer some blind hope, Harrop USA may have been registered to help get around misunderstandings with the company being based in Australia. Entirely possible that it is irrelevant, but maybe not.

Just had my car retuned on the dyno vs etune

85mm pulley on E60 hitting 13psi not bad for 100F ambient temps.

Any issue with knocking? I am using BC Chevron 94 with no ethanol; however, I experience knocking on my Cossy SC.

Not really, no. You can feel the timing advance between Petro Can 94 (upto 15% ethanol) and Shell 91 (0% ethanol), but the 10% better mileage is worth it.

Hi just recently purchased a frs with a harrop kit. Unfortunately I can’t pass smog, so I want to have the kit removed, what are the parts I will need, the seller didn’t have any more of the stock parts.
Thanks in advance for the help!

What if I said that there's a possibility that you may be able to pass smog with the kit in the near future?

How much do you want for the kit, shipped to B4E3L4 Nova Scotia, Canada?

Mike, shut up!! I might be able to get a cheap Harrop kit.

It really depends on when because I still have to get the car smogged.

I'm hoping this is some insider-information-innuendos you are making, or else

CSG may have re-involved themselves.

Remember, the original Harrop CARB image from years and years ago, was a CSG supported car.

Hi guys, I'm thinking of getting a Harrop kit. For ages I was wanting a Innovate SC but the issues surrounding heat-soak, vacuum leaks and how it drinks oil through the intake kind of putting me off a bit.

Just wondering if there are any such issues with the Harrop kit? This is for a daily driver and I want a relatively 'set & forget' kit. My days of fixing car issues every weekend are kind of behind me.

I'm in NZ so the CARB issues aren't a problem. I can run 98RON... I wonder what pulley I can get away with?

Although I would have expected a bit of a cheaper shipping rate. $320AUD for shipping across the pond? Seems steep.

I don’t think anyone has had any issues related to the kit. The only thing that I could see as an improvement would be a surge tank. It seems like I’ve had occasional coolant leaks in the beginning at the weakest link in the pipes. I would imagine vapor would need a place to escape.

They're different kits. Those wanting the SC whine and a lower price point will be happy with the Sprintex setup. For the least maintenance the Harrop kit is hard to beat. While they aren't as popular here in the states as some of the others due to cost, we have not seen any substantial issues or failures with them.
