Ha! Thanks man, if it weren't for your DIY on the radar detector, i wouldn't have even thought to try this.

Yes! Just delete your clock. It is screwed to the board, just remove. There is ample room on that side for a new display.

Thanks for the awesome feedback guys. Glad i could contribute to a place that has served me time and time again with great info and friendly enthusiasts.

Sweet. I'll have to open it up and take a look then. Rather jus buy a 2nd clock for $33 (eBay)

WHOA. I guess not. Well, not as easily anyway. Thanks for posting. Now we know we cant use that gauge and are pretty limited to the Hacker-Tweaker board.

Just put your round gauge for sale in the classifieds. People are always switching to flex.

Any chance you could rewire the clock to do the same thing? My headunit tells me the time anyway, and maybe the clock time adjustment buttons could be used for something else.

I dont see why not. It would be a lot easier to install it on that side anyway due to the lack of cutting the projectors out. Just unscrew the clock from the board and unmount. Happy modding!

Updated with smaller photos so it doesn't break the internet anymore.

Also, I ended up taking the tint off of the display. It was obnoxiously dim during the day. It looked great at night... but I couldnt ever see it during the day. No it looks great during the day and at night its brighter than everything else. But it bugs me less that way. To each his own.

Yeah, I actually called Zeitronix about it. It is a simple board to keep cost low. Would have been easy to wire it to dash illumination wire. Best bet is to throw a small piece of 50% window tint on it and be happy in the middle.
