Update December 21, 2013 (24k miles)
Got corner balanced and alignment at West End.
Alignment specs for camber were -2.5 deg for front, and without adjustments in the rear, -2.5/-2.7 (left/right)
Toe was 0 in front, and rear 3/32" total toe in

Update April 2, 2014 (29k miles)
Started having condensation in driver side front headlight and rear tail lamp assemblies.
Also installed TRD Quick Shifter kit. Retained the Perrin rear shifter bushing from earlier, and it is a little notchy, but over time should loosen up. I will be replacing the transmission fluid shortly, so that should help. Here is a pic of the current frankenstein intake setup: HKS Snorkel to Blitz drop in filter to Perrin inlet tube.

Update March 6, 2015 (45k miles)
Engine blew on February 13, 2014. Was experiencing rod knock so I towed the car to Longo Toyota. They were able to get it started and noted a lot of smoke coming out of the exhaust. Shortly after the engine seized. They're rebuilding the engine under warranty.
So far they noted blown piston rings and broken connecting rod. Had to order a replacement short block and heads are off at the machine shop.
Pics of the engine are in the latest post.

The shifter springs that MTec offers should have come in the transmission from the factory. During install, honestly could not tell the difference between the oem spring and MTec one by feel. Visually, they're different colors so that gives it away. Once it was installed, pulling left or right felt a lot stiffer, and once it goes into gear feels very solid. Overall another great modification to improve the feel of the car. The install guide they have is really straight forward and can be viewed here:
http://www.mtecind.com/diy/scion-frs...pring-install/

The painted spring was the one removed from the transmission. The new springs were just black.

I purchased the SS clutch line as it was less than the other ones available, and I wanted to flush the fluid anyways.

With the concern of oil temps getting out of hand during the summer, I invested in the Defi oil temp gauge to better monitor it to determine the necessity for oil cooling. I installed it with the ATI vent adapter from Rallysportdirect and got the gauge and oil temp sensor adapter from Micro Image. Following the Rallysport DIY, it was a breeze to tap into the wires and have it light up with the cluster lights. When the cluster is off, the oil temp gauge is bright red, but when you turn the lights on via the stalk, the red dims. It helps at night. Video of day/night transition can be viewed here:

Just installed the MTec stainless steel brake lines with Endless MX72 pads. It was a good time to change the fluid since it was getting dirty as well.

They are priced in the middle of the market, and feel pretty solid. Time and mileage will tell though, and they carry a 3 year warranty.

Excuse the cell phone pics, will snap pictures with a better camera in the day time to include in a review of the pads.

2005, not sure if that makes me an old guy on these boards. My only 'mod' is my Alumni USC plate frame...

Your car looks great!

Haven't posted to the thread in a while, got TC105ns, RS3s, KW Clubsport coilovers, and Cusco engine mounts since.

Here was a random snap I took today haha. Apologize for the dirty car, haven't been able to wash it since Buttonwillow this past weekend. Will wash the car this week and take better pictures.

Got corner balance and alignment at West End on Friday. Toe hadn't been adjusted since coilover install and was greatly corrected. Turn in has improved and rotation feels controllable.

Took it for a drive through the Malibu Canyons today, and will be going to Buttonwillow tomorrow.

Thanks! I was able to shave 3 seconds off with only change being coilovers. The car settles faster, but I still need to get the damping tuned. I feel more confident with the setup, but need more practice to use it to the fullest.

I wasn't too happy with how the Perrin MCB setscrew marks the master cylinder.

Set screw marks by jdkane527, on Flickr

I found the screw size to be M12x1.75 and 30mm long.
Here is a link to the McMaster part:
http://www.mcmaster.com/#92123a145/=pyd6lx

Set screw comparison by jdkane527, on Flickr

The McMaster set screw has a swivel head so it does not mark up the surface it is tightening against. One downside is that it is an alloy steel, and not stainless steel. Corrosion resistance isn't critical since I live in Southern California.

The screw threaded up fine, and the end result:
