I agree with that statement, the car is nimble. Fun.... Depends what Mustang he has. My buddy has a 650 RWHP Gt500...... That is scary fun .

Had the fourth mustang try and get me to race him. I drive quite a bit but no camaros, civics or gen coupes have revved at me. Just mustangs. Thing is, I actually like the mustang! Just find it strange so many have done this to me.

to be honest, when i was car shopping, it was down to a new mustang gt or the frs. Im not a speed demon by any means nor do i really enjoy losing grip in the rear. Im just an average driver

I just absolutely love the history behind the mustang and its unmatched legacy. With the frs, it was a vision of a new future for toyota. a kind of retro future where they went back a few steps and re embraced the sport car line. Ultimately came down to two factors on why i chose the frs. First being insurance/annual costs. Second is that there are not alot of cars under $50k that i like more than the mustang. one of those is the last gen toyota supra. Since i missed out on those due to me being in elementary school, i felt like the frs was a suitable car for me to proxy the supra feeling.

Because they are stupid rednecks. People from the country are not rednecks in the way people think. The suburban redneck is a whole different animal from the average country person, most country people are hard working solid citizens not interested in messing with other people. However the suburban redneck thinks their camaro or mustang is superior to every other car, nevermind the fact that GM cuts corners on technology all of the time. Ford is better about it, at least they embraced technology. It's a proven fact that a muscle car with a good suspension and a smart person behind the wheel can go around corners too. I personally like all cars including muscle cars but muscle cars do have a huge hillbilly following.

These cars are not the fastest thing on the street lol

The Genesis Coupe had 150 more horsepower but only got 5 seconds ahead, I don't consider that a loss per se.

i've got 2 mustangs (one v6 & one v8) and a camaro ss. i've been a TRUE car enthusiast the entire time. meaning i love all cars and can appreciate them for what they are. i can't wait to add a FR-S to my collection.
so continue to bash but i promise you not all mustang owners are d-bags who think they rule the streets but completely understand where you come from as i catch hell on mustang forums for owning a v6 as well as a chevy. and vice versa on the chevy boards.
I'm with you one this buddy, but I can't help you on the Chevy love...then again, have you seen the new Corvette? Holy *&^%$#! Please don't tell my "Stang Brothers" they'd never understand!

Am I missing something? All I see are 3 cars driving in a straight line and endangering lives. What are we supposed to see here?

youre right, but the new gt v8 stang also cost a lot more than us and eats gas a lot more than us :=P

the mustang has come a long way and im impressed at its cornering abilities. i remember when the 302 launched in what was it 2011? it was almost identical on the track for braking, cornering, and quarter mile as the 2011 M3. but the m3 does come with nicer features and is more refined but again 2 different rides. i like all cars personally. except vws lol

Its obviously a drag race between a mustang & frs on a empty road. Last thing we want is to endanger anyone either. Ive raced my friends 13' mustang on a autocross course as wel & have beat him by several seconds

Mustangs really don't cost much more then a FRS. Got my 5.0 for 30k and it kills me when people talk about performance cars then mention gas cost lol.

Gas mileage is one of the bigger reasons why I find the BRZ/FR-S attractive. There aren't a lot of sports cars averaging over 25mpg, and for someone who drives 20k+ miles per year, it's a must for me to get good mileage. Sure I'd love to have a high-hp car in the garage, but you can bet your arse it wouldn't be daily-driven! I remember commuting in a turbo RX-7 and a carb'd Datsun Z averaging 14mpg when I was in college, and being even more broke than a broke student should be.
