Stage one is all you really need. Its a selling gimmick in my opinion. Stage one from most places will cover bolt one. Stage 3 from them is for forced inducted applications.

A lot of this is explained in the ECU sticky at the top of this sub forum.
I did not realize it was the norm for tuners to help you update your tune after the initial purchase, so that makes sense. I'll probably pick up a tune first and get the exhaust later. I just don't want to pester whomever provides the tune any more than I have to, I'm sure they have plenty of newbies like myself harassing them. |

For FA20club, they've got it set up for 2 different customers: Stage 1, those who have a 100% stock car.. and Stage 2, those who have modified cars. And NO, you don't have to buy Stage 1 before Stage 2.. If you installed an intake or exhaust mod, simply buy the Stage 2 and be done with it. If you want an additional tune, like the E85 tune, that's where the "Additional tune #2" price comes in = it's only $98 more (well worth it IMO). If you buy a 3rd tune ("Additional tune #3), it's only $50 more. |

Save up and do both at the same time so you don't need to retune if you get a tune first or run with air/fuel that off with just the header.

How about UNICHIP? Can you run a unichip with a header and get similar results to running the ecutek or a reflash tune? I would be concerned about voiding the warranty with the headers/tune.

Yes, but it will need to be tuned for the header.
