She doesn't get any better as the books go on. Still useless in book five.

I was thinking... I currently own Impreza coupe which chassis code is GM6... when I get FR-S, their chassis code is ZN6... vs BRZ is ZC6... should I go w ZN6 to kinda match w GM6 or keep it in Subaru family & get ZC6? lol

& on my rant for today
I see tons of member just moddin' their FR-S/BRZ, which I'm totally fine, it's their car so they can do whatever to it... but at the same time, they don't have any idea how the stock car drive at the limit or actually feel the car. They just read what other member or automotive journalist said and believe to be true.

Kinda wish give 3~6 month or even a full yr of driving stock and see what you want from the car...

/rant

This is my plan. When I get my BRZ, keep it bone stock for at least 6 months. Appreciate the engineering for what it is and save my dollars for my mods that are necessary. However, I can understand how hard to stray away from modding a car that can be easily modded and designed for the enthusiasts wants or needs.

Once I get the BRZ I would like to keep it stock for as long as possible. For six months? I can do that. For a full year? Sure why not. For three years? As pain staking that may sound I can probably pull that off too. Personally I'd like to wait till the warranty, that comes with the car, to run out before any performance modding.

But that itch... you know that stubborn annoying itch in your mind and heart you just want to mod your car to the way you'd want it to be. Added boost, power, growl, and g's is all very tempting to ignore imo.

Anyway I understand when you see other members getting their cars and waste no time and start modding. Some go as far to swap out the engine without even giving stock (FA20) a chance and probably missing out on good thing. But like you said its their car and they can do whatever they want it.

And Ichi, keep the Subaru family going man.

You and I feel the same way, I remember Moto San talking about the same thing on another thread here and it stuck with me that these cars are blank canvas and you should feel it out first. Also if I remember correctly aside from the big names here in the USA modding their 86 for competition, many professionals in Japan kept their cars mostly stock with few to little mods, just look at Tsuchiya San red 86 it's barely has anything on it. Also IMHO ichi you were always Subaru might as well ZC 6 it.

Thanks for the votes. I got 2 votes on BRZ lol

It's kinda funny, all my family is Toyota & Nissan family. I'm the only one in the family that owns Subaru lol

I vote BRZ.

I'd get the FFV tune day one. The rest can be done anytime but the tune seems to make the most impact short of turbo/supercharging.

I feel you. The steering is sharp, but not communicative like the journos said it was. The other day though, I was driving through a roundabout and I could FEEL the chassis communicating slip/grip to me as I steadily increased throttle. I FINALLY understood what everyone was talking about (haven't owned many cars, let alone sports cars). I wouldn't have felt that on my sticky summers, but I know what I'm looking for now. Would I better off keeping the stockers on when summer comes around? Probably. Will I? No, they're too skinny for my new wheels and I just love endless GRIP.
