I was actually on the fence about to cancel my order but decided to stick with it.
Didn't know if I wanted it as a track car or not but after working a few things out thought it would be one of the better track cars |

I was told they should have my VIN in the next week. My car should be here in the first two half of May (First 86er). I didnt get an exact date, unfortunately.

Anybody know when the FR-S will be in the Tidewater area/Norfolk/VA Beach? Want to look at the car in person/sit in it before I make any financial decisions, maybe even test drive it. Anyone know when we might see one?

I was informed first couple of weeks in June (early June by Charles Barker Scion, mid June by First Team Scion.) From those two places, it does not appear any FRS will be available in near future for testing driving, only those who pre-ordered get to drive their selections after PDI.

I am not aware of how many Charles Barker is getting initially, other than (as of last week) there is one pre-order. First Team did not give the impression there is a waiting list (yet); the internet sales person stated they would receive two FRS in the initial shipment, both whiteout. One is automatic, the other manual. The odd thing with the quote I received is that the MSRP for the whiteout auto was $26,412 (excluding tax, title, doc fee, etc). I understand there is a cost upgrade for whiteout but 400 bucks??

Sorry to resurrect this thread back from the dead. I'm trying to get a feel for the current state of the market in Virginia. I live in Norfolk, but I'm willing to drive to Richmond or DC to save a few thousand dollars. I've talked with a few dealers in the Hampton Roads area, and their introductory quotes have been anywhere from MSRP to 5000 over MSRP. After doing some research on Edmunds and KBB, it seems the average transaction price is in the mid 27s for this area. I realize I can't get the same deal on a BRZ as I might able to get on a Forester, but I'd still like to get the best deal I can. Does anyone have any dealership recommendations? I haven't seen RK, Perry, or Casey listed on the dealer blacklist. If all goes well, I'll be selling my S2000 soon and moving on to a BRZ in time for the 2014 autocross season. I may even get a race or two in this year.

You know what the MSRP is, poke around at a dealer with one, and don't accept blatant markup. Not saying there isn't fees and processing and all that jazz, but just profit markup. Easy to find.

RK is on my blacklist. I put a deposit down with them which they tried to screw me out of after I ended up buying elsewhere.
To be fair, it was really the sales lady that was the issue; once I got ahold of the dealership's CTO, they processed the refund very quickly and professionally. |

There's a WRB limited for $26k at elite auto. It has 6000 miles. If you're okay with something used that is.

Thanks for all the replies. Oddly enough, RK has been the most receptive so far. I checked on true car and their target price was somewhere in neighborhood of 35 grand. At that point, I'm close to used Cayman shopping.
Would you mind telling me where in the mountains? A weekend trip to Charlottesville or Lexington to pick up a BRZ sounds like a good time. Last edited by Wheeljack; 08-21-2013 at 09:04 PM. |

In the Baltimore area, one dealer quoted me $1,000 below MSRP for Limited and another (who I purchased from) quoted me $500 over invoice. If I recall that was about a $200 difference in my favor.
That was last week. The challenge is finding the remaining 2013 in the trim/options you want. |
