Help picking the right kicker door speakers for BRZ

Like you guys know the BRZ/FRS audio quality sucks. My left door speaker already has some rattle whenever i play a high bass music.

I had some kicker door speakers in my celica and they were AWESOME, those little speakers sound quality were amazing for the price and also very durable.

Im thinking on getting some kicker door speakers for my BRZ.

Anybody has this setup on their brz/frs? I been searching and i have seen that i will need some kind of spacers to make the speaker fit.

Take a look at this thread for a potential rattle fix...

As for the speakers, I would recommend upgrading the stock amp first before swapping out the actual speakers, as the factory amp isn't pumping out much of anything...

Just keep in mind when deciding on an amp that the door speakers are 2 ohms...

Im not looking to replace the amp. Im looking to have a nice clean sound (just like kicker audio delivers) on my door speakers.

I found this kicker speakers on bestbuy:

Kicker - CS65 6-1/2" Coaxial Speakers with Polypropylene Woofer Cones (Pair) - Black

Anybody know if they will fit on the brz? or do i need to buy additional mounts.

Just be careful when pairing the new speakers with the stock amplifier, as it may turn out worse than you were expecting.

With those speakers youre going to need a new amp since they're 4 ohms. The stock amp won't put out enough power so they may sound worse than stock I would look at speakers that are 2 ohms if you don't want a new amp.

Interesting..

Now that im thinking back, on my celica i replaced the audio unit with a pioneer head unit and also installed the kicker door speakers... I dont recall seeing an amp on the celica...

Well I don't know about your celica but the brz/frs use a amp in the truck to power 2 ohm speakers in the doors the rest is powered by the headunit. Using 4 ohm speakers when your amp can only put out 2 ohms will not provide the best quality the speakers can offer. They may sound ok but upgrading the app will make them better. So look at 2 ohm speakers

If you only want to do the speakers try something like JBL GTO628. Otherwise I strongly recommend upgrading the amp to a little 10A. alpine and pioneer both have good options, and this will significantly increase your options.
